While looking up some info on Detroit, the shit holes of shit holes, I came across a wrap-up of a recent festival of local band that looks really well organized.  (230+ bands, 3 nights, 20 venues in Hamtramck with available shuttle service)
 
 Anyways was intrigued by  Champions of Breakfast (http://www.myspace.com/thechampionsofbreakfast), whose live act consists of them being performing with cardboard instruments backed by pre-recorded tracks on an iPod.  They sing about Nintendo, Unicorns, D&D and partying.

got another one... just gotta checkout a band that gets a write up like this, too bad they aren't on the east coast leg of the dirtbombs tour.

terrible twos are awesome, i'll probably book them at the velvet at some point.
