I'm *probably* going (have a work-related rubber chicken dinner).
I know this gets asked so often, but if there are two opening bands, safe to say PGMG will come on between 10:30 and 11 at a Black Cat, mid-week show?
Oy, the big decision is going to be the show or the baseball game if I get out of the dinner early.

I'll spare Mankie from having to ask this time, what the Hell is a rubber-chicken dinner?
-
i have to watch game 7.. .it's like a car wreck that you just have to watch.

A rubber chicken dinner is one of those big conference/fundraising/award dinners with hundreds of people. You almost always get some kind of fish or chicken you can't recognize as either.

Oh, maybe it's alligator, or some lost patron.

Actually it's never safe to say what time a band will go on at the Cat during the week. They're not as strick/considerate with time scheduling and the metro.

I know, and it kinda drives me crazy. It makes a big difference to me if a band goes on at 10 or 11 on a weeknight if I'm going just to check out a band I don't really know.
'Nother question. Is there a t.v. at Saint Ex?

Please report back on the PGMG show. I wanted to go but am still too knocked out with the jet lag.

It was a good show -- I didn't know what to expect. I did buy the CD a few days ago, but I was still surprised at the band. They had great energy. About four or five songs were great. A couple didn't grab me, and a few more were good. Interesting crowd -- along the periphery there were 10 - 15 folks just rocking out, singing every word. I love that, it makes a show even better for me.
They very much seem to be that kind of band; I can see listening to the album a bunch more and then loving the show.
Bass and vocalist were really good. She's a wee little thing with a big voice. A tiny bit like a "not weird" Karen O.
I liked it.

how full was it?

Not full at all. Less than half capacity. Maybe 150, 175?
