The AIC presale is tomorrow, and they way they do it (maybe this is how all 9:30 presales are, I don't know) is that you must pick up your tickets at will call. The problem is that I am 17 and can only purchase tickets in the presale with my mother's credit card. This in itself is no problem, but how will I pick up the tickets the night of the show when I cannot present ID to prove I am their owner? My mother will not be attending the show with me. Is there any way around this?

Who are AIC?

Alice In Chains
How about just skipping the pre-sale and buying a ticket when they go on sale through tickets.com?
-
Is there a chance of the tickets selling out in presale?

No, absolutely not. The pre-sale is a limited number of tickets, usually a hundred or two, I think.

I'd ask your question over in the FAQ forum where the club staffers can give you the definitive answer on boxoffice policies... and it's doubtful the show will sellout during the presale as they only sell a portion of the tickets during them.

Alright, thanks guys.

I believe you would need to present the credit card and a photo copy of your mothers id, with a note granting you the rights to the tickets signed by her.
*edit*
or what they said in FAQ, which seems a lot easier..

Ugh, yes, but we don't share the same last name.

'fess up skippy -- you're trying to buy tickets with a stolen credit card.

The better option would be to skip the show and listen to the albums with Layne Staley on the night of the show. That would be 10 times better.

I don't care about the new singer, I'm there to see Cantrell. It's a shame that I was too young to see Staley, but eh, what can you do.

Or, your mother can pick up the tickets at Will Call anytime before the show. As in, any day between now and then when the box office is open. Granted, if you live far away, this is a problem. But, if your mom ever makes it in to the city, an easy solution.

Interesting... I was always under the impression that you could only pick up will-call tickets day of show.
-
Shadrach can give the definitive answer on this one... but I think that presale tickets bought via tickets.com can be picked up in advance at the club, where as if it's an outside vendor like musictoday.com then you have to wait until the day of the show..

Kosmo is correct, if they're presale tickets from tickets.com (ie, the 9:30 Club or I.M.P.), you can pick them up anytime. I've done it a gazillion times. The exception is if you buy presale tickets through an artist's presale (or, say, a radio station or musictoday.com). Then the club has no control over the tickets and can't issue them until day of the show.

Just to clarify:
If you purchase tickets using someone elses credit card it's always best to do so over the telephone. This way you can request that they be left under a different name at will call.
In the event that the tickets are ordered online it's best to have the person the credit card belongs to call and have the will call name changed before the day of the show.
If you still haven't done either of the above you will need to present a photo copy of the credit card and ID belonging to the person placing the order along with the order number/printed confirmation.
Will call tickets ordered through tickets.com can be picked up in advance from our box office if you present your photo ID and order number.
All tickets ordered through other vendors such as Musictoday or Artist Arena are only available the night of the show, typically one hour prior to doors.
Hope this clears things up.

Excellent... This would make a great stickie in this forum or the FAQ.

I agree, it should be a sticky -- maybe in the FAQ section? But the question gets asked again and again....
