Anyone receive their tickets yet?!
-
nope. WASTE hasn't even announced seat locations for those who chose reserved seats, so actually shipping them is still some time away.
in the past tickets were shipped a month before the show, so i'd expect to wait another month before see a courrier asking for your signature.
-
Have we heard who the openers are yet?

I don't think it will be as impressive as the rained out Bull Run show - Thievery Corporation, Beta Band... I'm having a senior moment there was a third act on the bill - Kid Koala?

Yes.

no info about openers, lots of rumors swirling... RH are pretty good about keeping things secret if that's their desire, so we most probably won't find out until they damn well think it's time for us to find out :)
seats for the altanta show were mailed out today, so seat assignments are trickling out. i'd expect them all in the next 24 hours.

According to atease, Liars is the opening band for the first leg, including Nissan, and Underworld is rumored for the second leg.

Well Underworld are also playing the All Points West festival same night as Radiohead, so it makes sense. That means that they will also likely be at Lolla!

I dont know too much about Liars.
Good band?

thoughts?
opinions?
-
Not too big on Liars. Tried to get into them, but to no avail.
I'll be in section 102 row h
-
Liars are OK, but Underworld would be freaking amazing. I now have to get Philly tickets for the second leg.
-
Liars are TERRIBLE!
Anyone get their Waste tickets yet?!
-
no one has their waste tix yet. won't get them before mid-april.

(non-ticket related but I'm not searching for another radiohead thread)
Radiohead hosts online video contest
LOS ANGELES - Radiohead allowed fans to choose a price for their latest tunes. Now, the best-selling band is hoping fans will make them a music video, too.
TBD Records, Cartoon Network's Adult Swim and animation Web portal Aniboom.com are sponsoring an online contest inviting Radiohead fans to produce an animated music video for any song from "In Rainbows," the band's popular 2007 album that was originally available for download at an optional price.
Online voters and a panel of judges will select finalists with Radiohead choosing a winner who will receive a $10,000 prize to produce a full-length animated music video. The competition began Monday and continues through April 27.

... i don't think you know how to read. everyone who has said they were opting for seats were doing so because of women. women who may need said kotex. however, i would advise against kotex, it gets too bunchy and doesn't stay well.

dude, it's not as if people will be dancing and moshing to radiohead - so there is no toughness or manliness involved with being the in pit.
seats will allow for better lines of sight, especially for the ladies. they don't want to be trapped & squished up front, and from the back of the pit they wouldn't see much. major advantage of seats for me: ability to grab a beer and/or go to bathroom without having to fight back to my spot or risk losing it all together.
if this was a more dance-oriented show i'd definitely want to be in the pit.
-
No email for me yet, hopefully soon. Read this morning that they are rehearsing 70 different songs for tour.
-
I placed 2 separate orders for 2 pit and 2 reserved (you were allowed to buy 4 if I recall). I got seat locations for my seats a few weeks ago and the confirmation today for my pit tickets. Hmmm.

the e-mail today was not a confirmation of your pit tickets. it was only to inform you that your tickets are being shipped.
you didn't get an equivalent to the seat assignments e-mail for your pit tickets because they are GA. you should have received order confirmation for both your orders shortly after you placed them (feb 14).

Right. I got confirmations for both orders and they charged my card twice. A few weeks ago I got my seat assignment for the seated tickets. The only email I got today has the order number for my pit tickets and not my seated tickets.
And no, I'm not selling any. 2 are for me and my buddy and the other 2 are for our wives who want to sit.

Any chance they'll okay play stuff from 'BENDS' and 'OK COMPUTER?'

Got my dispatch email.

On the last real tour (2006), it looks likes they averaged 3-4 OK Computer songs per show and 1-2 from The Bends.

OK. I actually got my pit tickets in the mail this weekend. They came in a bubble mailer with packing peanuts. Overkill much?

Thom Yorke just wept a little at the harm that your ticket packaging cost the environment. He'll make it up to you by having the concert at the very environmentally-friendly Nissan Pavillion.
You're literate and well-read aren't you, Miss P? Asking the Drug Doctor what you should "take" for a Radiohead concert?
A good book.
Tell me what that book winds up being.

Excuse me? When did I ask this?

No. You didn't. It was a skit I once heard on the radio. I meant to ask, what book will you bring to pass the time during their 45-minute version of "The Gloaming/Bodysnatchers?"
