for legal reasons, no - but it's not that hard to figure out.  i'd start by researching the term "p2p"...

I thought the first album was great, the second album good, but the third is unlistenable. Apparently, I've left the 90's behind, but Portishead hasn't. This album is destined to be the soundtrack of suburban goth parties everywhere.

haven't the Old 97's been in a holding pattern since 1999's "Fight Songs"?

No, they've left those pop leanings behind and returned to their countryish roots. And xountry music is timeless baby.

Holy Moses -- a sonick sighting!

I really, really am digging Third. Start at track 6, the album is insanely backloaded.

co-signing. plus, i think that the album is more for fans of trippy, industrial and/or psychedelic rock music in general than just straight-up Portishead head fans themselves. It appears that they (namely Geoff Barrow) has moved more towards their rock influences. I mean -- there are barely any traces to hip-hop (namely scratches) on this album which is amazing by itself to me. I can definitely hear a lot of stuff like Silver Apples, Faust, Can, Jefferson Airplane, Velvet Underground, even latter end goods -- like Radiohead, Bjork production in this album.

Oh yeah - I dig the whole thing, but "Plastic" is just plain classic Portishead. And and...is it just me, but every P album has amazing closing tracks (the last two of each one)?? Hah

I'm finding the new release by the Bristol band, The Blessing way more interesting and enjoyable than the new Portishead.

Two of the guys used to play drums and bass with Portishead. They've got a jazz-funk thing going that's like David Holmes jamming with the Lounge Lizards.

Its on eMusic (http://www.emusic.com/album/The-Blessing-All-Is-Yes-MP3-Download/11141830.html) and worth the downloads.

Portishead perform tracks from 'Third'

Portishead in Portishead airs exclusively on www.portishead.co.uk (http://www.portishead.co.uk) on 11th April at 11pm (GMT) - the band will be performing 7 tracks from the new album 'Third'. To view this you will have to sign up. Your information will be kept by Portishead and not passed on to a 3rd party so we advise signing up early if you haven't already done so to avoid frustration at 10.55pm.

After the 40 minute programme airs on the bands site it will be broadcast on Current TV (http://current.com/).

I really really love this album.

Hunter and Threads are BRILLIANT tracks. The songwriting really stepped up, and I can't wait to see them live at some point this year.

There was a message posted on the official website a while back (which has since been taken down) that "due to personal reasons" there are no shows planned for 2008 besides the European dates and Coachella.  Let's hope for U.S. dates in 2009.  Their show at the 9:30 in 1998(?) was one of my favorite shows ever!
