Guess Oct/Nov/Dec means no Merriwether this time around. Wonder where they'll play? MCI?
-
That is AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I've loved them since I was 12.
-
my first concert was depeche mode at Merriweather...really all i remember is that my mom dropped us off in the parking lot at 3pm..and that it was friggin hot as hell out
-
HOLY CRAP...that is INCREDIBLE news.
-
late nov/early dec is better for wearing black anyways.
let's hope their new album is better than their last.
"exciter" was anything but
i'm stoked - finally, something to look forward to!
-
ya'll need to stop making me feel so darn olde... i was in college the first time i saw DM on the "Some Great Reward" tour...
-
I agree there...it was a decent show in 2001, but not phenomenal. I'll bet that it's the MCI Center...hopefully they'll throw in a few more oldies this time around.
-
Didn't they do the Patriot Center a few years ago on their "hits" tour?
-
Yes...it was the only general admission venue on that tour and it was amazing! I suppose they might play there again. It was worth the trek for THAT show. Wow.
-
awful band.
-
I disagree..."Black Celebration" was one of those records that I discovered at a young age that made everything seem alright, even if it was twisted and dark. I give DM credit for being there for me at a time in my life when I needed music like that.

this goes into a no-holds-barred competition with smackie's pederastic habits as the post of the week.

First time I saw em was in 86, Black celebration tour, my pops took me. Have seen every tour since, and everytime it gets worse and takes a little of my childhood away.
Anyone have the "Devotional" dvd? I did see that tour and thought it sucked, but that show is great on dvd. "one night in Paris" in my opinion, is awful.
They need to BEG Alan Wilder to come back, just hasn't been the same since.

All right, then all of you who love Depeche Mode NEED to be at our Depeche Mode night, coming up on Friday June 24th! :)
