I plan on it.

It sucks that this is the same night as Sleater-Kinney. I'd definitely be there.
-
Not that I can complain that I'll miss it since I'm away for a bachelor party weekend, but if that's a Butthole Surfers cover band, I'm going to be a little bummed I missed it.
Another Man's Sac
-
Yeah that's definitely a Buttholes cover band.
-
i went last year and had a great time, though in the the fuzzy memory that remains I can't recall whether it was the music makers or the maker's mark that made the night enjoyable.
if i remember correctly, some of the bands were great fun, but some just dragged.
i would be there, too, if it wasn't for SK.

Girls on Film - Duran Duran (maybe all girl?)
Another Man's Sac - BH Surfers
The Queen is Dead - Smiths
The Wood Sprites
Fun House
Just Oates - Hall & Oates (or just a moustache)
The Carlisle Group
The Sandinistas - Clash
The Invinceables
Any other guesses?

I assumed this would be The Stooges/Iggy.

Fun House = Stooges
The Invinceables = Vince Clarke?
The Carlisle Group = The Go-Gos?

This is what the black cat has posted:
"Run For Cover 4
For the fourth year in a row, a handful of DC's rock & rollers unite for a night of tribute and parody. These are makeshift bands playing other people's tunes. And, by "makeshift" we don't mean "half-ass."
If last year's sold out Mainstage show was any indication, these bands are good. They have spent months preparing for what has become the event of the Summer. And, this is your only chance to see these one-performance-only groups.
This year's lineup is being kept under wraps, but we can go into what we saw last year...OIasis, a Dolly Parton cover band called the Dolly Woulds, Van Hurlin, the (Post) Modern Lovers, and much more.
The best part of the whole thing? In true DC spirit, this event is always a benefit; this year's proceeds go to the Fort Reno Summer Concert Series."
