C: You want to complain! Look at these shoes. I've only had them three weeks and the heels are worn right through.
M: No, I want to complain about...
C: If you complain nothing happens, you might as well not bother.
M: Oh!
C: Oh my back hurts, it's not a very fine day and I'm sick and tired of this office.

Sky Blue Sky was forgettable. A.M. was forgetable. YHF = their creative peak and his knob twittling was integral in the production of that album.

i have been pondering setting up a group for the open minded, but you need at least 10 people in order to create a chart, as it would be nice to represent something other than mainstream indie acts. it's to bad you can't just invert the group charts or compile a custom chart.

You can setup a "group for the open-minded", but the minute 2-3 people breakdown and listen to a Death Cab or Radiohead track, it's over. They're going to bubble right up to the top like they do on every other chart. The more people in the group, the more likely that's going to happen.
The whole point of the charts is to show what artists/songs people have in common - not to show how open-minded each person is. That's what the individual charts are for.

how quintessentially indie: let's get together, and compare/prove how different we are.
together, we're more different than anyone else.

Particularly online. Some people don't have very thick skin as well, sometimes things get misinterpreted, life goes on.
