Title: IMAX Theatres
Post by: Chulahoma on July 15, 2008, 10:09:00 am
Does anyone know where any IMAX theatres are located?  I'm planning on watching the new Batman movie (hopefully on Monday) and wanted to watch it on IMAX.

Also, is it worth the price?

We were gonna see it in Chantilly, but it was sold out.

Check the national air and space museum website.

There is one in Baltimore, at the Science Center in the Inner Harbor.

I got tickets for this monday in chantilly at the air and space center. Although, they're probably all sold out for the first week by now.

Now onto your 2nd question, is it worth it? When I saw Superman there, the opening credits ALONE were worth it. It's such a different world in imax. You truly feel like your there. And, only costing 2 dollars more than a regualar theater, it's most definately worth it.

and seeing as it was partially filmed in IMAX it will definitely be worth it... the other hollywood films were converted after the fact to IMAX.

anyone know when the Columbia IMAX theater is scheduled to be opened?

I live right next to the mall in Columbia, and I haven't seen an opening date for the IMAX yet (not that I'm over there all the time...)

I don't see that it's playing at the MD Science Center's IMAX.

It is playing at the Air and Space Museum though.

Just read an article that says it should be open on July 11th...don't know if it is or not.
