For example, a craft fair/bake sale/fundraiser thing. People rent tables to sell their goods. Has anyone ever heard of or know of a similar event in the metro area where you can sell your used records/CD's/videos/DVD's, memorabilia, etc.?

yes, they're called flea markets :)

My apologies for not being more specific. I was aiming for an event that was only for the types of items I listed.

Black Cat does something like that once a year, but i believe it just happened.

Wow.
I mean, I have had some excellent street sale finds, but nothing like this.

The Rock-N-Shop is December 17th at the Black Cat. There will be people selling a variety of goods; handmade purses, clothing, artwork, and something dear to me, concert posters and silkscreened holiday cards.
I will be setting up shop and selling all my posters and a new holiday card with a portion of my sales going to charity (Montgomery County Humane Society and Threshold Services who provide food, shelter, and medical assistance to adults with mental illness).
We will also be raffling off for charity a Wolfmother poster we did for the Black Cat on 6.6.6. that is signed by the band. This is number one in an edition of 75.

Wow, thanks for the tips. I'll look into it!

God I loved Vinyl Ink. Maybe my most favoritest record store ever.
