the 2nd date will be 6 months to the day later than the 1st date. no sense in it being on monday the 24th.
-
um actually there's a lot of sense in it being monday the 24th. there's no scheduled date that night for DCFC, and they play in Philly Tuesday the 25th. only 4 or 5 hours to Philly by bus...they could easily play that monday night.

What bus do you take to get to Philly for a 4 to 5 hour drive? Philly is 2 1/2 hours away.

-
very funny. but seriously, the presale is sold out. when exactly does the second show go on sale to the public?

Death Cab for Cutie is #4 on the Billboard pop album charts for the week, right ahead of Mariah Carey.
And alternative is the new mainstream.

You love to say this when something like Death Cab debuts at #4, but a week from now when it falls to #70, and the 5 months that follows in which there are no "indie" records in the top 10, what then?

i thought alt-country was the new mainstream?

Happily enough, the iconoclasts can rest assured - alt-country will never be mainstream.
-
Then Bright Eyes will put out two more albums and prove me right again. Or maybe Smashing Punkins.

its a shame when you need Bright Eyes to prove you right!

Yes, I'm pretty sure a defunct band that wasn't indie for the last 9 years of their career will soon prove your point. I await your comeuppance.

Bright Eyes proves my point - if anything. His albums debuted at, what, 8 and 14? Then fell off the charts immediately. Then, it was 7 months until another indie record broke the top 10. Totally mainstream!
