How do you get "in the know" with the passwords for presales? Is that through the mailing list from 930? I just got on that mailing list so I am SOL with The Hives.. Anyone willing to email me the presale password for the Hives? I'll buy them a beer at the show!! :-)

ummm... i'm on the email list and didn't get anything about the presale... guys?
-
Tickets for the show go on sale tomorrow morning at 10, you know. So you wouldn't miss out on buying tickets.
-
Apparently, it's another "Volume" presale. The password should be in the flyer they supposedly mail out once a month. They didn't email the password this time.
-
They have copies of the volume mailer in all Olsson's locations. Usually by the door.
-
whoops, my newsletter is sitting at home unread, guess I will wait until tomorrow if they are cheap, how much are the tickets?
-
olsson's. thank god for them.
-
ok someone please take pity on me. i have not been getting my volume copies for months now, and am going to cry without a hives ticket. someone please please please help...!
-
Just ordered two and was not asked for a password!

another shining example of tickets.con expertise. i was going to edit this post but figured that the anyone looking for the pw would have already clicked the link
-
pw now in effect...
-
Kosmo, sorry if I was out of line. I PMed the details to you already.
-
I'm surprised this is such a popular show...
They insinuate on the home page that the password is available from the email:
Get the Volume Passwords ready!
THE HIVES
w/Sahara Hotnights & Reigning Sound
July 20
Presale 6/2 @10am-10pm
Not on the list? Email List_Serve@930.com

no surprise here... the show at the black cat a couple years ago was heaving with people. i actually passed on going because of the crazied level of fandom they had reached. of course i'll bet they passed through town a couple times with only the early adopters in the audience, before being trushed into the spotlight.
i'm guessin' that tickets show on ebay shortly...

you can get on both the email and volume mailing lists by emailing that address. you just need to given your email and snail mail address.
-
Thank you, Kosmo, man of so many answers.
I'm not surprised at the general interest in the show, but the interest among the board regulars...
-
Just got 2 tickets. I think this show will sell out pretty fast because the last time they played the Black Cat it got a phenomenal response. Even if you're not a big Hives fan, supposedly they put on a ROCKIN' show. Apparently they are a lot of fun. So I think it will be worth checking out.
-
I attended the Black Cat show and can attest to this...Pelle can really work a crowd. All of their songs are less than 3 minutes, but in between, he marched around the stage and got everyone excited for the next song.

Lil' help - anyone?
I never received any password info...
-
Yes, I have to say I'm only familiar with one of their records but think that it would be just a fun show to check out. Glad that it wasn't an expensive one. Between Franz Ferdinand, Sleater Kinney and the Hives this year, I really am not breaking the bank with concerts. :)

That's a 48% markup. This is what is frickin' insane. If they don't sell out immediately, I may see if there are tix at the box office as the word on the street is that the show is really good...
-
Having gone to both the $2 MTV show (Recher) and Black Cat show, I can say that the Hives are hilarious, energetic and fun live. I am looking forward to the show! It will definitely sell out.
-
i enjoyed them at the black cat last year, or was it two years ago? place was packed...
