if you had 7 tracks to get from this comp, which would they be?

i already have the barracudas, the pandoras, mystery machine, and nashville ramblers tracks from other comps ... i'm tempted to get all the 20/20 tracks, just because i love their song "giving it all" so much

Can't go wrong with the Shoes.

Or those early Romantics, Plimsouls, The Zero's are notable as it's Alejandro Escovedo's brother Javier's band, often called the Mexican Ramones.

If you don't have the Flaming Groovies' Shake Some Action, then you don't have shit.

Here! Here!
I would say the Flamin' Groovies song and the one by Stiv Bators.

Damn, too bad the Nerves aren't on there. They did the original version of "Hanging on the Telephone", which is infinitely better than Blondie's version.

i have "one way ticket" from children of nuggets, and it's one of my favorite songs on there

and good luck finding it as its out of print, which unfortunately makes sellers think that can charge two arms and leg for it. whats ironic is many of those DIY series CDs languished in cutout bins while it was in print. i'd like to get my mitts on the LA and Boston scene CDs in the series...
also try seeking out the Rhino Poptopia series (http://www.amazon.com/Poptopia-Power-Pop-Classics-70s/dp/B0000033ZE/sr=8-1/qid=1165609303/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1/102-4932401-7080121?ie=UTF8&s=music) also out of print and thus carrying a heavy markup in price.

i rate the real kids pretty high. the 20/20s are great.

I got my copy of that for like 4 or 5 bucks in a cutout bin once upon a time. It really is a great disc to have.
