Just a quick heads up that some routine maintenance will be run later today so the forum will be unavailable for a short period of time, probably around lunch time. Normally, I do this at night so hold tight if you see the message later today. Go outside and smell the fresh air!

Aw, man. Now what am I gonna do this after
-
must . . . hold . . . on.

I hope this fixes a problem I've had accessing the forum from home. I'm logged in but it says I'm not. I can't post, I can't log out. If I try to register it says that I'm already registered and logged in while at the same time another line says I'm not logged in. Deleting cookies didn't work. Really weird. But everything's hunky-dory from work.

What browser are you using? Whatever it is, try a different one...

Funny, I have a somewhat similiar problem, but at work. I log in, but it continues to say I'm not logged in. Sometimes I get a white screen showing that I can't access the 9:30 site at all. But it's only on my main work computer, not my home computer, or my second work computer I'm sometimes on.
The problem seemed to have been fixed earlier in the week, but then I rebooted, and the problem seemed to come back. So instead of solving a problem, rebooting created one.
I think it's ip address issues. Or the 9:30 moderators are trying to ban me. ;)

Good idea as a stop-gap. I'm using IE7 on XP-SP2 at both places.
-
I also have the "you are not logged in" issue.
-
me too.

Did you just get the "Not Logged In Message" after the forum was down? If so it's because every time I need to fix the registration problem, it resets all the user accounts and thus requires everyone to login again. Even me :D ....
-
and hopefully when the forum gets upgraded to the latest version, the registration problem will go away..
-
So where did you put the search button???
-
what search button? :D
-
you know, the one we use to search the forum with.

1) when is this expected to happen, and
2) is a search function included in this upgrade?
-
not sure about the exact time line, but it's in the works and the upgrade is to the latest version which was released in 2005. I suspect all the updates are for behind the scenes stuff and not many changes will be visible. And I seriously doubt we'll ever see the search function turned here, as the forum is sputtering along as it is and adding search might bring it do it's knees.

For those that have the "logged in" / "logged out" issue, delete your cookies (or at least your 930 cookies). This fixed the problem for me.
