year after year he cut the budget to upgrade and maintain the levees. too much $ needed for the war and the tax cut. supply side economics. where was bush during and after the hurricane? on vacation. now they won't let people of color out of the city. if they try to leave on their own, they are turned back. caucasians can walk out.
as long as the rich keep getting richer and the poor, poorer, class warfare is not far away.

this has been the way on the planet since the eons of time created life from god's eyes into us. (lookie, i got eon right) power controls, and money does fold the way things are done in reality. complain all you want; listen to k. west bitch about black people and scoff 'til you drop, while nothing changes on an earth of people who can't even band together for five seconds. humans create multiple religions seeming to breed off hate, and just look at this microchasm that exists on here, with the anger and bitching about pointless topics . . . and we're suppose to believe in the greater hope for us. go shop at walmart; go eat your big macs . . . and forget that anything is wrong.

Ben's is OK, but it's main claims to fame are its landmark status, and in recent years, a popular destination for whiteys who want to feel they're slumming it in the big city, rather than its food, which is tasty when you're drunk but guaranteed heartburn.
By the way, what's someone named "anarchist" doing complaining about ineffectual government response?

Funny that you of all people would say that!

aren't zingers a tasty "hostess" treat?
-
Back in my day, the sugary concoctions you refer to as "zingers" were made by a thriving company called Dolly Madison, and featured Peanuts characters in their televised advertise-ments. They were quite appealing with a tall glass of Country Time lemon-ade.

So did Clinton put money asude for the levee's? Surely this isn't a problem that started within the last five years.

the levee projects havent been funded properly since the 60's, but the fema report that predicted total devistation in the event of a category 4+ hurricane came out in 2001, i believe

Is the levee funding state or federal?
-
There was a documentary done about this for Public Television about a year ago, and debuted around the same time. However, considering recent tragedies, they've been running it again. The original study was done in 2000, and released in 2001. And the project is considered under the Army Corps or Engineers, thus Federal. And since the study came out warranting more funding, each year the monies have been slashed each year. There in lies problem.

Well, look at Clinton's funding for FEMA, and look at Bushes.
Yes, everything bad that happens to Bush, is somehow, even if you have to look real real hard, Clintons fault.
