I beg to differ, first of all I bet he employs shitloads of em working for minimum wage on his ranch in TX, and secondly, he's almost certainly knocking the bottom out of Condaleeeeeeeza !!!
Mind you, Mike Myers face was priceless.

it was live tv at its best.

I can't believe I caught it happen live -- I just happened to check over to see who was on, and it was Mike and Kanye. Very odd, the first bit by Kanye. Mike seemed to be sympathetic to him, that he was upset and a bit incoherent. Then they went back to Kanye and his GW line...I then Tivo'd the replay on MSNBC, and they kept in Kanye's first remarks, but cut out the last line about GW.
-
I think the line was "George Bush doesn't care about black people." It wasn't that he doesn't like them.
And in reality I think the truth is closer to Bush not caring about poor people in general. I don't know how much race has to do with it.
-
If you look who votes for Bush I would bet that most of those in NO are not among them. Mississippi is another story and they have had crappy response too.

Its a Bush family trait....check out the last sentence....
Barbara Bush: Things Working Out 'Very Well' for Poor Evacuees from New Orleans
By E&P Staff
Published: September 05, 2005 7:25 PM ET updated 8:00 PM
NEW YORK Accompanying her husband, former President George
H.W.Bush, on a tour of hurricane relief centers in
Houston, Barbara Bush said today, referring to the
poor who had lost everything back home and evacuated,
"This is working very well for them."
The former First Lady's remarks were aired this
evening on National Public Radio's "Marketplace"
program.
She was part of a group in Houston today at the
Astrodome that included her husband and former
President Bill Clinton, who were chosen by her son,
the current president, to head fundraising efforts for
the recovery. Sen. Hilary Clinton and Sen. Barack
Obama were also present.
In a segment at the top of the show on the surge of
evacuees to the Texas city, Barbara Bush said: "Almost
everyone I've talked to says we're going to move to
Houston."
Then she added: "What I'm hearing which is sort of
scary is they all want to stay in Texas. Everyone is
so overwhelmed by the hospitality.
"And so many of the people in the arena here, you
know, were underprivileged anyway, so this--this (she
chuckles slightly) is working very well for them."

No, it's Chuckles the clown, who died so grievously in a parade whilst dressed as a peanut. He was crushed to death by an elephant. :(

From the W. Post coverage:
West and Mike Myers had been paired up to appear about halfway through the show. Their assignment: Take turns reading a script describing the breach in the levees around New Orleans.
Myers: The landscape of the city has changed dramatically, tragically and perhaps irreversibly. There is now over 25 feet of water where there was once city streets and thriving neighborhoods.
(Myers throws to West, who looked extremely nervous in his super-preppy designer rugby shirt and white pants, which is not like the arrogant West and which, in retrospect, should have been a tip-off.)
West: I hate the way they portray us in the media. You see a black family, it says, "They're looting." You see a white family, it says, "They're looking for food." And, you know, it's been five days [waiting for federal help] because most of the people are black. And even for me to complain about it, I would be a hypocrite because I've tried to turn away from the TV because it's too hard to watch. I've even been shopping before even giving a donation, so now I'm calling my business manager right now to see what is the biggest amount I can give, and just to imagine if I was down there, and those are my people down there. So anybody out there that wants to do anything that we can help -- with the way America is set up to help the poor, the black people, the less well-off, as slow as possible. I mean, the Red Cross is doing everything they can. We already realize a lot of people that could help are at war right now, fighting another way -- and they've given them permission to go down and shoot us!
(West throws back to Myers, who is looking like a guy who stopped on the tarmac to tie his shoe and got hit in the back with the 8:30 to La Guardia.)
Myers: And subtle, but in many ways even more profoundly devastating, is the lasting damage to the survivors' will to rebuild and remain in the area. The destruction of the spirit of the people of southern Louisiana and Mississippi may end up being the most tragic loss of all.
(And, because Myers is apparently as dumb as his Alfalfa hair, he throws it back to West.)
West: George Bush doesn't care about black people!
(Back to Myers, now looking like the 8:30 to La Guardia turned around and caught him square between the eyes.)
Myers: Please call . . .
At which point someone at NBC News finally regained control of the joystick and cut over to Chris Tucker, who started right in with more scripted blah, blah, blah.

I'm not defending Bush at all. But I don't know if you can say he doesn't like black people. I know he likes Michael Steele, perhaps the whitest black person I've ever seen.
I don't know if you can say the system is racist. I just don't know if you can say that. I think though there are differences in classes, and this affects some of what happened. Everytime there has been a horrible hurricane Florida (Hugo and Andrew just to name a couple), it doesn't take this long to respond. And there are so many more details coming out about things not being followed, etc.
There's gotta be an answer somewhere. But "we're not playing the blame game" as our president says. Well shouldn't someone have to answer for at least a part of this. You know damn well if it was a democratic pres. with a democratic congress, that the same type of questions would be being raised by republicans and they wouldn't stop until they had an answer.
So what gives?

Who the hell is this Kanye West person? Probably a nobody for saying stupid shit like that.

Well, for one, he's the person who sold the most records in the U.S. last week. Debuted today at #1, with 900,000 of his second album sold.
I don't agree with a lot of what Kanye says or does, but I give him a lot of credit for speaking out; the rest of the "celebrities" were reading from the teleprompter, clearly, and were there just for their photo op.
Just like when Bush arrived in New Orleans for his photo op, and told the incompetent FEMA Director that he was doing a heckuva job. Riiiiight. That guy (MIchael Brown?, I think) needs to be fired right now, today.

Doesn't eating Church's fried chicken (http://www.snopes.com/racial/business/tropical.asp) make black men sterile..?
-
according to Kanye West, fentanyl killed George Floyd - not a knee to the neck.
yeah it’s over (https://twitter.com/YourMusicWhore/status/1581522704636661760)

At this point, I prefer the rapper impersonating him on Twatter.
