I'm not sure how many hours early I should get there to wait in line if I want to be right up front. You guys have any idea?
-
1 hr. to 45 min before doors open.
-
Corgan's fanbase is pretty ravenous. I'd be there's probably people in line by 9 am.
-
For the poetry reading, I showd up 3 hours early and I was 2nd in line, and the line didn't start growing until about an hour and a half before the show. I THINK the poetry reading was sold out...
-
While we're on the subject - what's the deal with the "the voice behind the Smashing Pumpkins" line on the schedule? If Kurt Cobain were around would he be billed as the "the voice behind Nirvana?" Would anyone go to this show who wasn't aware of Billy Corgan's previous gig? I mean, hey, what is the deal. And, hey, what is the deal with airplane food?
-
i usually show up about 15 minutes before the band goes on, grab a drink, light up a smoke and push my way to the front, calling out a girls name
sure it pisses people off, but they're behind me so who cares!

i wish i was seeing jerry this weekend ... saw him two years ago at kennedy center and loved it
-
I mean, doors open at 9 I believe, do you think I'll get near the front if I show up at 5:00?
-
the thing to do is what everyone else does at shows: arrive late, then shove your way to the front. Be sure to stand in front of someone you're taller than, and then dance like an idiot.

I'm already in line posting this on my wireless connection. There's about 50 people down here already. I'd get down here soon if you want to get a good spot.

It sure is! We've got no food or toilet paper but we're united by our love for Billy and his gift of music!

Oh well excuse me then...I didn't mean to step on your little Internet toes there.
Where should I send the royalty check?

Oh, joke, ok. Sorry. I wasn't sure if you were being serious or not.
-
I'm pretty sure they're serious about the pillow fight.

I just IMed smackette - the US Weekly's should be here any minute.
Can someone grab me a jamba juice on their way over?
-
Well I'd like to leave ol' Billy alone, but what I've heard of the Future Embrace sounds like he's singing karaoke over Pet Shop Boys B-sides . . . which isn't a great thing. Dude, you're THE VOICE of the Smashing Pumpkins! Get the edge back fer chissakes!
-
Billy's music is much less powerful without Jimmy Chamberlain,no doubt about that.

Except Jimmy plays on the album so that statement doesn't work :)
Billy's music is much less powerful without hit Big Muff distortion pedal!

I can vouch for that, he did it at Merriweather last year for Muse, of course Redsock helped him clear a path.

C'mon,he is hardly even on the album and certainly isn't playing live on tour. The Lettermen appearance was laughable at best.
