I'll be at Sonar tonight. Anyone else?
-
here, with a friend. so coldplay opens for them tonight, right?

Everything Sounds Like Coldplay (http://www.maximmag.co.uk/?truth/relief/relief.php?id=17945)

I'll be there, though I'm sure it won't top the show from may.
-
Yeah, that was a great show. Hopefully they'll play some songs tonight that they didn't do at 9:30.
Seeing as they are EVERYWHERE now, I imagine this will be the last time they play a venue of this size. Next stop - Constitution Hall?

Actually, looking at their setlists, it's pretty much More Adventurous and a few (and I stress FEW) oldies, as opposed to this may when they played more TEOAT then MA material. They have played Frug a few times of late though.
What the heck ever happened to Bulletproof? Would it kill them to play that again? Second best song on TOAL.

i am going to Sonar tonight, but only to buy my Social Distortion tickets!!!!
(with NO convenience charges!!! or service fees!!)
-
I'll be there with my oh-so-foxy companion.

I was afraid of that. Well, here's to hoping they play A Better Son/Daughter. And though I liked the stripped down version of Spectacular Views, I'd really like to see em rock out the album version.
-
Set times, in case anyone is wondering:
Cassettes on @ 9 or 9:30
Rilo @ 10:30 or 11
-
is that the official set times? lol.
-
I emailed Sonar and that's what they told me. Found it pretty amusing too...

Funny, I was there too, but only to buy my Clutch tickets...

Well, I thought that was a really good show. Granted, I was slightly intoxicated, but I seem to recall a good set. Nice mix of new and old stuff...and a b-side :D
So glad they played 'Patiently'. I didn't want to have to be the guy yelling out b-sides.
And thanks Jenny for playing 'A Better Son/Daughter'. Marry me.

It was OK, better then expected, but not as good as the show in May. I, too, was excited for Better Son/Daughter.
Anyone get a setlist?

Yeah, I got there late and missed the first 2 or 3 songs. What did they play? I'm guessing they started with "It's a Hit"

From my best recollection:
I Never
Pull Me Tighter (I think that's what the "new" song they've been playing for a year is called)
It's A Hit
Love And War
Does He Love You
More Adventurous
Ripchord
A Man/Me/Jim
Execution Of All Things
Frug
Patiently
Portions For Foxes
------
With Arms Outstreched
August
A Better Son/Daughter

Damn, looks like I missed 4 songs. The list looks right for the songs I was there for.
That was my first show at Sonar so I don't know what renovations they made. But I liked the venue, except for those 4 columns around the room.

Yes, it's their standard "pre-The Execution Of All Things" song for this tour, apparently.
