Title: Viacom discontinues VH1Megahits/Alt. channel
Post by: Bartelby on July 01, 2005, 10:39:00 am
According to Cox Cable, Viacom discontinued VH1Megahits at midnight last night which is the channel (238) in Fairfax that also carried the Alternative shows and new bands'(usually crappy) first-time videos...WTF.  I'm not sure I can ever workout on a stairmaster again without that station...off to eat pizza, drink milkshakes, and ponder the passing of the ONLY tv channel I really watched. Sniff...

i was equally pissed.  the channel on my system was right next to mtv hits, and that channel sucks.  vh1 megahits played a freshly frozen mixture of not that bad songs, and i found myself on it plenty of times, going "wow, they're playing that?"  i find it profoundly amusing that vh1 topples mtv on pretty much anything they do.  vh1 should shoot for an annual video show next.
