Happy birthday -- treat yourself special today (if that's diff from any other day...)

Thanks,

I have noticed that by not drinking in the week my weekend hangovers have got worse. I think the key is to drink nightly. But then it means you get less REM sleep....

Yeah, Markie...I'm a new acquantance, but I would have pegged you as a more "steady" drinker.  You seem to get pretty unsteady pretty quickly -- which should make for a fascinating evening tonight!

 Again, someone bring a digital!

I don't drink during the week (no way, can't be out of it at work -- too painful!), but my legs still don't fall out from under me on the weekend...and I'm old as "not as old as Mankie" dirt!

Ummm,

Well this is my 31st Birthday. I guess I am never going to be a Formula 1 driver or ride in the tour de France. But there are still plenty of exciting things left to do. (Really I just want Mankie to loan me one of his cars.)

I think The Pursuit of Happiness says it best....

 "I'm An Adult Now"

Well, I don't hate my parents
I don't get drunk just to spite them
I've got my own reasons to drink now
Think I'll call my dad up and invite him
I can sleep in till noon anytime I want
Though there's not many days that I do
Gotta get up and take on that world
When your an adult it's no cliche it's the truth

 (Chorus)
 'Cause I'm an adult now
 I'm an adult now
I've got the problems of an adult
On my head and on my shoulders
 I'm an adult now

I can't even look at young girls anymore
People will think I'm some kind of pervert
Adult sex is either boring or dirty
Young people they can get away with murder
I don't write songs about girls anymore
I have to write songs about women
No more boy meets girl boy loses girl
More like man tries to figure out what the hell went wrong

 (chorus)

I can't take any more illicit drugs
I can't afford any artificial joy
I'd sure look like a fool dead in a ditch somewhere
With a mind full of chemicals
Like some cheese-eating high school boy

 (chorus)

Sometimes my head hurts and sometimes my stomach hurts
And I guess it won't be long
Till I'm sitting in a room with a bunch
of people whose necks and backs are aching
 Whose sight and hearing's failing
Who just can't seem to get it up
Speaking of hearing, I can't take too much loud music
I mean I like to play it, but I sure don't like the racket
Noise, but I can't hear anything
 Just guitars screaming, screaming, screaming
Some guy screaming in a leather jacket
 Wooah!
 (Chorus)

You could do "prairie fires" - A shot of tequila mixed with a dash of tabasco.  That was always our favorite celebratory/penalty shot, back in the day.  ahhh - the pain and pleasure of the prairie fire...

Sorry, Paige, but I've experienced both sides and I say you are wrong. It's all a state of mind. But we have the advantage of experience. It's just a shame that a lot of old farts buy into it too. That will age them faster than nature itself.

I hope you know that I was kidding around about all of that! Most of my friends are much older than I am; I definitely am a fan of their more wise perspective on things. However, not everyone who is over 30 is mature   ;)  Age is just a state of mind.

Cool site.

I liked the Purity Test (http://www.thesite.org/youthnet/jsp/polopoly.jsp?d=184&a=3002#).

 I got:
"We have calculated that you are 41 % impure

Too good to be true: Sweet and pure - at least thatâ??s what everyone thinks. You like to paint a picture of innocence on the surface but you have revealed your true colours now. Underneath that angelic exterior thereâ??s a naughty side dying to get out!"

I think there were 16 of us. So that would be a healthy 5 beers each. Some people didnt drink though. Others started with 2 pints of margerita........ hick.

Yes, it would have been hilarious if you had been about. I will remind you of MY birthday, next year. Coming to DC in the near future, are you?
