Secret show day before Coachella. On sale now on ticketmaster. Hurry!
-
Is this after Bjork is done?
Probably doesn't matter now; I bet it's sold out anyway.
Edit: It's the 26th not 27th.
-
It's the day before Coachella :)
tickets still available...not many people know about it yet...
-
Yeah my flight doesn't get into longbeach until 8:30. Don't know if it'd be worth rescheduling.
-
Ok thanks for the correction.
Thanks to Delta, the flight I'm taking takes off at 6 something am (originally bought the 8 am flight which they canceled).
-
Then again, I was considering changing my flight and leaving a day early anyway.
I'll probably have between now and when those douchebags at pitchfork post this in their news section on monday to decide.
-
I hope this means they do at least a mini US tour. Lots of tickets are still available at the moment...argh I wish I could go.

Kind of funny. I heard about this show only days after their Coachella announcement but didn't think much of it other than hoping they tour this way. Not able to go to either so I had forgotten about it since then. Very surprised that it remained quiet for so long.

Would it be worth it? I saw them a couple times, and by the end Jim was a wreck. In one song he killed off two bottles of beer.

Were they any good the other times?

First time I saw them they were amazing. It was at College Park on their first American tour. They did a "long" 40+ minute set. It was insane feedback and squeals. Did all the classics (except Upside Down) and 9353 opened. They cannot top that night. Next caught them with Mazzy Star, were quite good then too.

i saw this happen to, probably around 1998 or so. they were good back in the mid-90s when i saw em twice then.
i accredit the horrible 98 show to them being all but broken up already.
maybe they are refreshed now!

If Hope sings with them, then I would be for it.
Yes, 1998. 930 show. Had their sister come up and sing one with them (again Hope would have been a much more pleasing singer).
-
Word of warning: Unless you know what you are getting into, stay away from the new Sister Vanilla release. Sadly, she didn't inherit the same musical genes as her brothers. Not only is it lame, it's just down right bad.
-
When she sang with them, was not good at all.

Scarlett Johansson will be singing back-up at the just announced Jesus and Mary Chain pre-Coachella performance at the Glass House in Pomona, CA. You may remember that Cat Dirt broke that booking first... way way back... So. If you don't know- now you know.
