rap - violence / hatred of other performers who might be better than you / pro guns / pro drugs corrupted by violence / misonygy / homophobia.
emo - hatred of dumb people who aren't as cool and smart enough to understand me, my music, my clothes and my life's problems.
goth - see emo.
country - hatred of anything looking queer or not white.
metal - hatred of those who think it's about satan. and those with short hair and in a suit.
punk - hatred of conformity and those who don't truly understand the mosh pit and how it is suppose to be done or the joy of safety pins. and hatred of those damn "x my hand" straight edgers.
rock - hatred of american idol / guitar hero / the fact that sex and drug lifestyles aren't looked at anymore with luster and appeal. plus the trees of money that all burned down with the internet b.s., and the fact the only way to be a cool rocker is too sell your entire back catalogue to ads.
jam - who would think. the hippies. the love. the drugs. the fucked up life of me, me, me and my high, and don't talk about what you might have if i don't have it as well. here for the music? no dude . . . i'm here for shakedown street and what will fit in my pocket. the music doesn't sound good unless i'm fucked up anyway. hatred of anything or anyone who does not look like a similiar person with similiar thoughts.

I stayed at a semi-luxury (why can't i spell that word?) hotel for a conference recently, and blasted the jazz and classical on the radio while I ate dark chocolate and drank wine whilst bathing in the tub. There was alot of self-love going on. No hate at all.

bluegrass blends (though it never always did this) a type of person who is jam and country. some of the same deep seeded hatreds for them there modern city slickers remain (and just how many non-white hippies at hippy show have you met?), still fueling the racial undertones. mix that with now a drug fueled desire to feel a "need" to expand into the bluegrass genre. i would say that the good ole boys f-ing hate them there hippies coming into the flock, as well. hate.
new age - please. these "airy" "flighty" bunch have been tired of being kicked around as the crystal wearing, "don't worry be happy" folk forever. like the emos and goths, nobody understands them! there is even a division in new age music where some cling to the combining aspects of spirituality, esotericism, complementary and alternative medicine and include religious practices from many sources across the world and environmentalism into their music, while others scoff at the "label" attached to what they do. new age equals hate.
