Au contraire! He stopped by for the artichoke dip   and to play a brilliant show.
Did anyone else make it out last night?

I had planned it, but when Jim Noir had to bow out, Birchmere fees + food - I decided listening to his album will have to suffice.
So it was good eh? Would have been a good NPR broadcast.

tip: 99 times out of 100, asking a straight dude to evaluate how "adorable" another dude is will not yield satisfactory results.

although, i'm making assumptions about lukas here   :p

I wonder if the son of John Lennon had to wait 20+ minutes for a beer and pitcher of water?

He's playing at Rams Head this Friday night and it's only 20 bucks in advance and 25 the day of the show.

Rams Head has quite good food actually.  In fact I sometimes go there just for the food.

I saw that...weighed the options. Still possibly a better deal than Birchmere. Although, I'm getting old and would like a seat since he probably won't go on until later (two opening acts, no Jim Noir).
The food selections inside the venue aren't any better and costs as much as that at Camden. The restaurant is okay, but pricey.

Believe me....men know when other men are good looking, it's just some think it's bordering gay to say it. I've never quite understood that way of thinking really. You can usually figure out what a straight bloke is thinking if he calls another bloke 'prick' or some other derogatory name without reason...that's usually a roundabout way of acknowledging they think another man is attractive.

The Birchmere is a shithole and I can't think of any show I'd want to see bad enough to go back to that dump, even for free!

ok, sure, we can pick out the brad pitts and patrick demseys, and we can tell when a guy is a troll.  but other than that top and bottom 5%, most men aren't very good at telling if a man is physically attractive.  i might be getting myself in trouble here, but it's been my experience that women are brought up to appreciate beauty in other women.  moms tell their daughters "look how pretty that lady is".  how often does a father take his young son and say "check out that dude, he's a very handsome guy"???  society puts a lot more emphasis on a women's appearance, so everyone is more accustomed to judging women's appearance.  that's what i was alluding to...
