Smackie, Bede and whoever else...
I'm in SF area for work 1/28 - 1/31, not a lot on the calendar it appears. Any suggestions?

You've got to stay another day and see Social D
Jan 29- From the Jam (feat. Bruce Foxton and Richard Buckler of The Jam) GAMH $25
Feb 1-2- Social D at the Fillmore
That's all that we talked about from that time frame earlier in this week.

Social D in Anaheim friggin' killed. It was the best concert I've ever seen them do. I'd highly recommend that you check 'em out in SF if at all possible. The 2 new songs (Alone & Forsaken, Can't Take It With You) alone are worth the cost of the ticket. I'm actually tempted to see if there's an e-saver to SF that weekend.

With all the rescheduled shows, I wasn't able to catch them over the holidays...
I'm looking at the Feb 1 or Feb 2 show.

Nice. I'm going to see them in Vegas at the end of this month. Did Inward Eye open? How were they?
-
The Randies opened when I saw them, and they were OK. Looks like different bands are opening almost every night. I had SO much fun at that show, you'll have a blast. I can't get over how great Social D still is after all these years. It's really something.

one of these days, i'm going to suck it up and go to southern california for a run of social d shows. bearman, you are making me jealous.
-
Sorry Thatguy...I do have to admit though that seeing Social D in California is a bit of a different experience. It just seems like they always do something a little special or different for crowds out there. I'll never forget when they came and played the entire "Mommy's Little Monster" LP in order from start to finish. You never see that on the East Coast!

I use Pollstar.com's San Francisco listing (http://www.pollstar.com/tour/searchall.pl?Content=C-CA_San%2BFrancisco&By=City&PSKey=Y&StartSearch.x=19&StartSearch.y=6)
