Greetings,
Can anyone shed some insight on the style of music at the RnR Hotel NYE? I see a bunch of different Dj's are there. What are they like? I see they're offering an 80$ open top shelf bar all night. Not a bad deal I guess.
Anyway, I've got friends coming into town, and we're looking for something fun to do.

I'll take that as a no.

So far, there's been a really eclectic mix of styles both in DJs and bands. I've been pleasantly surprised every time I've been; the Ramones (Mark dj'ed) night was great; the metal/metal lite shows have been a blast. There are some amazing groups coming in early 2007, so keep an eye on their site. (www.rockandrollhoteldc.com).
There is buzz that tickets for NYE are going very fast, and I hear they are staffing up for a possible sell out.
Hey, sometimes the events we have no expectations for turn out to be the best.

it looks like chris richards is one of the DJ's, so figure lots of prince.
and wire.

Lots of Prince and Wire, huh?
About as disparate as you can get.
from what I'm reading, there is no live band, just different dj's throughout the night?
Cool.

looks like it.
i always champion the art romp at the warehouse on 7th st.
the event itself is free 'tho the booze ain't.
there's usually weird music/theatre.
and a lot of art.
it's a fun party usually.
