Okay - So is anyone else hoping she's not wearing panties tonight??
-
And the next question will be "anyone hoping that they'll be passing out free $100 bills?"
Followed by . . .
Um, to answer your question: yes.
Hubba hubba.
-
Ahh...your posts never cease to not disappoint.
I thought about going but it sold out before I could decide if I wanted to or not.

C'mon - 'Exile' is such a great record!!
-
Though this show sold out, I am amazed that there are a bunch of tickets, all for face value, available on Craigslist. Of COURSE, because I have extra tickets!! Now, the Hold Steady, for which I didn't have tickets...that was an entirely different story. Only double face available. gggggrrrrrrrrrrrr.
But, this should be amazing. I'm surprised the clamor for tickets isn't exponentially greater than it appears to be. I'm there.

Perhaps it's her history of stage fright and sucking live?
-
except it sold out pretty fast to begin with, if memory serves
-
OK, didn't the set time say 9:30 this morning, and now it says 8:30? I'm glad I checked a second time...
-
it did. i called the club, its 830. thanks for pointing that out
-
oh she doesn't suck live...saw her in 1998 during the whitespacechocolateegg tour...and couple years later with the Flaming Lips

Yup, it changed. I just 5 minutes ago got an email from tickets.com
-
Liz at 830 at the 930 !! Ohhh I cannot wait. Liz truly makes me week in the knees.
Her and Chrissie Hynde.
-
So I'm curious, but how was the show? I assume she was going to perform all of the songs from Exile?
-
Did she wear her headset?
-
Show was great! No headset either
-
no headset, yes to playing the whole album. encore was other songs
the crowd was pretty hot, and man that was a good album. she kind of ran through the show because she wanted to go see obama, maybe thats why the set time was changed? whatever i got to see a show and still was in bed at 11. i think the older crowd appreciated it, and at 32 i was about the youngest person there
-
encore songs were: new song, chopsticks, and polyester bride.
-
good show..she looked and sounded better than ever... there were problems with feedback on a number of songs...she played exile and then about 3-4 song encore including polyester bride, a new song, etc...
she did say early on "nobody's going to miss obama on my watch.." and it was appreciated...

the village idiot is loose again.
-
i guess the answer is "yes"...idiot.
-
did you watch it?
-
Quite a few didn't get the email update about the change in set time. We were at the back and it really filled up around 9:15. Some people were still arriving after the show had completely ended. Felt pretty sorry for them.
-
That is pretty awesome she didn't want anyone to miss out on seeing Obama's speech. I wish I could've gone to the show. Exile is one of my favorite albums of all time. I actually own it on cassette. It's cool to hear she played all of the songs and even did an encore.

I appreciated getting out of there early so i could listen to our next president and America's new black friend on the Sirius.
Could have done without that piece-of-shit 'Polyester Bride' song even though i know people with shitty taste love it.
Did anyone else notice that the two dudes in her band play in Euphone?
-
RustyOrgan's posts used to bother me at first, but he's quietly become one of my favorite posters. Quotes like the below are only part of the reason:
