Toss out your ideas and plans, if you have 'em.
So not my favorite holiday, but I am looking to do something that doesn't involve dinner out, an evening inside watching the ball drop, travelling out of state (aside from MD or VA), or one of those $150 hotel soirees.
So far, I am considering:
-Psych Furs at State Theatre
-Lobstery Boy's New Years Extravaganza (lobsterboy.net)
-George Clinton at Constitution Hall
-
"soirees", I'm impressed! :)
-
Ted Alexandro, DC Improv
-
Ill be in Florida seeing Sevendust!
-
Mary J.Bilge
-
I'm flying to Georgia and i'm gonna be there for new years. I have a bottle of whiskey waiting for me and who knows what ater that.
-
clutch. ram's head live. baltimore.
-
December 30th is the new new years.
-
Anyone know what the deal is with the new years eve greyboy/soulive show? Drink specials/open bar/just costs 20 bucks extra cause it's new years??
-
Costs more for it being the eve. Everything is more expensive that night, the band the staff, it all costs more.
-
best thing to do is just stay home, put your head under the covers, and don't go out until its over!

If you do that, the terrorists have won.

right now the plan is to stay at home and go head to head with Kosmette on the Wii and then go to a brunch on New Years Day...
-
I'll be at least two hours into my night's sleep at midnight.

Don't hurt yourself. My brother has a "wiinjury" from the, oh, six hours he played on Christmas Day. His arm killed him the next morning.

Easiest question.

i am just getting over a vicious cold, so it looks like stay at home, watch something on our new flat panel HDTV with a bottle of bubbly.
it will be nice to not be completely wiped out on New Years Day for once in the last 12 years!
-
Someone will be turning 30 this year?

Isn't it obvious? Basshound is opening Sunday, Chopteeth on Saturday. Basshound is defintely worth the extra 20 bucks.

Wow ... is it really that obvious? I am not familiar with Basshound, so no, it was not obvious to me. And whether or not it is worth the extra $20 is questionable/argueable.
Thanks for the reply though ...

sar·casm (sär'kāz'əm)
1. A cutting, often ironic remark intended to wound.
2. A form of wit that is marked by the use of sarcastic language and is intended to make its victim the butt of contempt or ridicule.
