Title: What to do on New Years?
Post by: lily1 on December 26, 2006, 12:50:00 pm
Toss out your ideas and plans, if you have 'em.

So not my favorite holiday, but I am looking to do something that doesn't involve dinner out, an evening inside watching the ball drop, travelling out of state (aside from MD or VA), or one of those $150 hotel soirees.

 So far, I am considering:

 -Psych Furs at State Theatre
-Lobstery Boy's New Years Extravaganza (lobsterboy.net)
 -George Clinton at Constitution Hall

Costs more for it being the eve.  Everything is more expensive that night, the band the staff, it all costs more.

best thing to do is just stay home, put your head under the covers, and don't go out until its over!

Don't hurt yourself.  My brother has a "wiinjury" from the, oh, six hours he played on Christmas Day.  His arm killed him the next morning.

i am just getting over a vicious cold, so it looks like stay at home, watch something on our new flat panel HDTV with a bottle of bubbly.

it will be nice to not be completely wiped out on New Years Day for once in the last 12 years!

Isn't it obvious? Basshound is opening Sunday, Chopteeth on Saturday. Basshound is defintely worth the extra 20 bucks.

Wow ... is it really that obvious?  I am not familiar with Basshound, so no, it was not obvious to me.  And whether or not it is worth the extra $20 is questionable/argueable.

Thanks for the reply though ...
