Is this some kind of promotion to see who can get the most hits on that site? I don't see nuthin' different...

looks like the black cat forgot to renew the domain registration and some person looking to make a buck snapped it up with the intent on selling it back to the black cat.

because it takes time for domain name changes to move through the internet.  give it a day or so and everyone will be seeing the new generic page.  i looked up the registration for blackcatdc.com and it expired on 4/3/04.  so when it expired some lowlife snapped it up because they were tracking it, knew it was a popular site and are probably holding it hostage until the black cat coughs up the readies.  although, somehow grohl's legal team will have the last word on this one...

I've got the DC on the end....  And the link Rhett put in the first post is working for me as well.  I assume he put that in because it wasn't working for him?

after looking around a little bit, no new owner of the domain has been listed, so the Black Cat may just need to renew

It is now registered to Dante, expires in 2014.   :)

Most decent domain registries, though, will give you 30 days grace, in which you still have first right to the domain name but the site will be down till you pay up. Covers you if you change email addresses and forget to tell the domain registry!
