Lucero is one of the great bands of our generation. Welcome to the 9:30 community. We hope you stick around and tell us about other great music.

Any chance that you will go back to spending your time at HFStival.com with all the rest of the 14-year olds?

Prognosis: negative.

And I'm not starting threads about Lucero, a band commonly hyped on the likes of absolutepunk.net.

Okay, I'll bite.  I went to the show and had a positive experience.
The band seemed very happy to be playing the Black Cat, as if it were a venerated venue.  The crowd received the band well and bought the guys shots throughout the set.  Ben mentioned that they had been good all tour and were going to get crazy that night. He added that they only get crazy at the best venues (Black Cat, Bowery Ballroom).
They played for about 50 minutes and said that was "the show" but they would stay on and play any request.  By this time the alcohol had taken hold and they were forgetting chord progressions and lyrics, but having a good time.
Crowd turnout was low to moderate yet enthusiastic.
Proceed with n00b insults and degradations.
