Post by: nkotb on December 20, 2002, 06:20:00 pm
I'm not sure if anyone is still around to post, but who's going to the show tonight?

I thought the show was tomorrow night, at the MCI Center, opening for Aerosmith in all his arena rock glory?

Aerosmith tickets - 35 - 75 bucks
AWK tickets - 14 bucks
I already have an Aerosmith Greatest Hits disc, which is all I'd want to hear anyway. Much cheaper this way.

Actually, Aerosmith's Home Sweet Home is a pretty nasty rock song. I like it a lot. Imagine cruising around to that shit in the 70's in a Pinto.

Thirsty, what did I say about contradicting me in public? You snotty little shit...
Actually, I really don't have anything against Aerosmith, especially pre-Permanent Vacation. I'm just broke after my Xmas shopping, and don't really care to see shows at MCI.

quote:
Originally posted by thirsty moore:
Actually, Aerosmith's Home Sweet Home is a pretty nasty rock song. I like it a lot. Imagine cruising around to that shit in the 70's in a Pinto.

Hope you all have a great time, I really do. But don't any of you Andrew WK people dare come out with the, "oh I don't know how you can stand to suffer through a (insert performer here) concert, (performer)'s music does not stimulate me in the slightest" Holier than thou bullshit.
You are going for a good time and not the musical fulfilment.

I don't think anyone ever claimed that AWK was musically fulfilling. He puts on a good show, and it's a fun release of energy. And I don't think Thirsty or I have ever knocked anyone else's taste in music.

quote:
Originally posted by mankie:
Hope you all have a great time, I really do. just an update on the new album. . .it's currently being mixed and still set for a summer release. . .here's what mr. w.k. has to say about the new album:

"The first song on the album is a total blower! It comes in at first and it's like 'Whoa... what's the bone crusher all about?' and then before you know it you are body slammer back into a solid pre-beat, something to give you a platform to hold onto and work from. It's good to have a temporary ground on which to regain your footing before going any further. So just when you feel you're getting the hang of it, it all kicks in with full on power plant electricity and you are whipped once to the side and flipped once upside down until the rollers set into place and give you a good shakedown!!! Then it picks up the pace and hyper blasts you into a state of raw physical bliss and energetic stupor so intense that all you can do is everything!"
