Lambchop put on another great show last night. Everybody should check them out when they are in town next time. Black Cat show was a little better due to the song selection, but Iota sounded just as good.
-
:( I wanted to go, had too much on my plate. Hope they plan another trip through town soon....thanks for the report.

I enjoyed the show too - they were really loose last night. I feel like a dunce, but I didn't get the Australian bar joke.

I didn't get it either, but I had forgot about it until you just mentioned it.

that's the sort of thing that bothers me for about a week. or at least until my mind fills up with something else useless.

I can't remember it well enough to tell it

ok i'll give it a go, but I'm thinking half the reason I didn't get it was that I didn't hear it correctly (and it has to be spoken, i'm guessing):
So this Australian guy is sitting in a bar and this woman stops in and asks for a drink. he asks her, 'hey, wanna f'?
she responds: 'if you keep talking like that i might.'
does that sound about right? i'm assuming it's a play on how the australian said 'fa'.
-
I think it's a play on how uncultured the Aussies are.

Skonster,
You were,nt the guy who shouted for Gettysberg address, by any chance, were you.
Umm, I didnt get that joke either.
It was a surprise to see the band so jovial and chatty. The last two times they nary said a word. I thought blackcat sounded slightly better. But I liked last nights song selections, so I was really happy.
Why didn't they play any of the songs people requested, Grrrrrrr.
-
No I'm not the yelling sort. It was odd that they asked for requests but didn't choose any. Oh well. Still, no complaints, and I enjoyed the banter (although even the jokes that i DID get weren't very good).

ohhhhh, i was thinking of pork chops....i'd kill for a good pork chop meal right now.
-
Aw, now that's harsh. The Aussies I've met happen to be some of the friendliest and most cultured people I know!
