Snow Patrol ...ick...
I did pick a Cartel promo outside the Doves show last night, nice stuff...

I'll probably be there.
Any thoughts on Snowden? Are they worth showing up early for?

It's as if Christopher Cross was arrested for crimes against Rock, spent two years with The Edge as a cellmate, then busted out in a daring daylight jailbreak and remained at large during the height of the Macarena craze. If he was finally apprehended while attempting to purchase his own CD at a WalMart in Detroit, this is the everlasting sound of tinnitus Cross would suffer after the arresting officer's gun accidentally discharged next to his ear.

my compliments to the chef.

Snowden, huh? If they're anything like the Doves song (I know, absolutely no correlation between the two), they should be smooth, like a beautiful carpet.

I'm almost out...hope to see some of you there tonight...come along,..it's only $5 and it'll be a great show...

Hey Cartel-
Yet another great show last night...love the layered sound, the songs are solid...Snowden was a very decent band as well. Both bands made a great bill. Good turn out as well, kudos.
A shame Snow Patrol was playing down the street...
-
Thanks to anyone who might've shown up last night...hope you had fun despite the problems with the backstage sound...glad you all enjoyed Snow Patrol..
Sorry I ran late Markie/Lulu..hope you didn't miss any of Athlete's set..

Besides vocals and the usual "hit or miss" sound problems the Black cat is known for. I thought it sounded great. First time seeing you guys, great job. lots of potential!
-
I'm surprised the Black Cat hasn't upgraded their backstage sound system..Velvet's sound system is great and DC9's has improved with every show we've played there...thing is for most bands in order to get slots at the mainstage you need to work your way up by playing the backstage..and that's fair enough..it's just very frustrating to deal with sound issues as a band and as a fan...

The sound was a little muddy at times, but not too bad. You guys sounded fine.
Very nice set. Snowden made for a great pairing. Not a bad crowd for a rainy Tuesday and some competition over at 9:30.

Yeah definitely...barely over the 100 people mark on a Tuesday night with a sold-out Snow Patrol show is definitely a good number...
Bombay, don't be shy next time around and say hello..we appreciate it immensely when people show up at our gigs and just chatting up or getting input over a brew is always fun...
met Marty from WSC...really nice chap...
