I'm afraid i may have to but another pair of eyeglasses, after leaving a pair behind somewhere on my trip.
Anybody have any suggestions where i can get a hip pair of designer frames in DC these days? Although I'm a cheapskate on a number of things, I'm willing to shell out bucks for the right pair.
As far as music, I'm waiting until next week to see what the new Joseph Arthur sounds like.

try ebay. im on the market for some vintage windsor frames.

Cloud Cult - The Meaning of 8 is great.
I plan on picking up a copy tomorrow night (been looking forward to this show for a while now :) ).
-
I am going for the Grinderman disc also.
And the new Throbbing Gristle.
-
Just picked up Grinderman, Fratellis, Amy Winehouse, and new Kings of Leon. And... I really like all of them.
-
I'll be picking up the new Bright Eyes and Laura Veirs sometime this week.
-
I bought Blonde Redhead "23"
and Indigo Moss's self titled debut, who i heard absolutely kicked ass, but i'll be the judge of that.

Willamette Week did a Q&A with Greg Glover (http://localcut.wweek.com/2007/04/11/extended-qa-with-greg-glover/) about a week ago about the compilation put out on his label (Arena Rock). He's also a DJ at the local alt-rock station and has a great show called "The Bottom Forty," where he plays music that probably wouldn't be on most terrestrial radio stations these days.

Burning Brides - Hang Love [cd]
I'm wondering about this. I'd read it would be out in June. Maybe it's a pre-release single?
-
You're right - it looks like the CD was pushed back again. I ordered the vinyl last week.

I picked this up on import last fall and it's fantastic, although quite different from the debut.
-
That Avey Tare/Kria Brekken sounds great reversed (played as it was recorded).

How'd you reverse it (er, re-reverse)?
-
That's what I've heard. I assume the reversed version is floating around the file-sharing sites?
Man, that's got to be the most pretentious idea of all time. Blech.
