Sometimes when I'm listening to my headphones. A song like "Vehicle". bye the Ides of March. it seems like some parts of the music are on only my left side. And then, later, the singers seems like they are only on my right side. The lights are out, but I'm scared. I think my headphones are broken or malfunctioning. Because some songs, like "North American Scum" by the Fall sound like they are in the center of my head (phones). Has anyone else experienced this?

Thanks GGW to you! I was doing, obviously, two things wrong. #1 I had not covered the shotgun. And of course #2, I was listening to Van Halen II not Van Halen 1. With a hoot of Van Halen:,,, :)

i would be a dj yes, but have only recently had the training wheels taken off, so am in little position to be scheduling folk for the booth.

hmm, 2 of my 20 favorite songs of all time are on this list, and there's only one other song that would even make my top, say, 50,000.

Take the early Beatles. THey didn't want stereo, they viewed it as a fad and mixed in mono. Then the label would make stereo versions where the instruments were one side the vocals the other. There you really get the stereo weirdness with headphones. For real fun, listen to Pink Floyd "Get Your Filthy Hands Off My Desert" from The Final Cut. The missile flying by at the start is really cool.

yo book
I'd love to know what besides "The Way I Walk" is in yr top 20...Honor Role?

Hmmm....., my guess is that Booker's 3 songs would be the following:
Goo Goo Muck Ronnie Cook and The Gaylads
The Way I Walk The Cramps
Can You Get to That Funkadelic
Not sure in which order.
Now nosey minds have to know. :p

sorry to build any "suspense" but my faves are the two most predictable ones on there. first is "can you get to that" which to me is the high point of one of the greatest three album runs ever. and then there's "take the money and run," which i've always adored for whatever reason. opposite sides of the '70s over-indulgent drug spectrum, but both classics, no doubt.

Funny that, I had both songs on a playlist of mine.
