"Taurine is only approved for use in chicken feed, not human food."
So if you need a taurine fix go to Popeye's instead. Way more delicious.

dont listen to miss p.
some people just have to be knowitalls. I didnt realize people were trying to ban this.
i think it tastes like crap, personally. I will read the article now
-
anyway...the distric has banned smoking and cocaine and yet hipsters roll on. everything will be ok
-
So Sparks is like a speedball basically. I always thought red bull and vodkas were stupid because of their difference in nature, as i thought the same of people who liked to mix speed with downers in my younger years.
up or down, pick one, i say!

they haven't banned underwear parties yet, still have one last hold-out...
-
I never give any credit to something published by organizations with names such as 'The Center for Science in the Public Interest'. Thanks, but I took all the science and chemistry I need in both high school and college. I really don't need yet another somebody watching out for me and doing things 'for my own good'. I'll make my own decisions and live with the consequences, thank you very much.

Hear, hear!
-
SPARKS might taste like shit but the young hipster chicks who get drunk on it sure taste great!!
-
Lol. No truer words have ever been spoken!
-
Sparks is disgusting.
Plus Joose has 3% more alcohol in it. There's some new enery alcoholic drink at 7-11 that has 11% alcohol. I can't remember the name for the life of me though.
-
Hipsters panic? I don't think any self-respecting hipster would touch a MillerCoors product.
-
am i the only one here eagerly awaiting a reaction for our fellow boardee SPARX?
is he being banned too? noooooo! SAVE SPARX!!!

I have no affiliation of such a product.
However, having no knowledge other than it gets Rusty Organ action, it should most definitely be banned or they should allow the return of qualudes.
I have yet to have been banned from D.C. although they've certainly had their chances over the decades. :D

As a lifelong Marylander it still sounds funny to me to say something like..."alcoholic drink at 7-11". Is it all MD or just certain counties that you can only buy alcohol at liquor stores?

On the flip side, when I moved to this area I was absolutely stunned to discover you couldn't buy beer at 7-11.

i think it's all of maryland. i remember when i moved here i didn't really understand why there was a liquor store every 300 feet ..
it's really annoying to not be able to get beer at the grocery story though.
-
It's by county, there are some on the Eastern Shore that do sell beer/wine in grocery stores and such.
-
I thought grocery stores sold beer/wine in Montgomery County?

definitely not in friendship heights/chevy chase, silver spring and bethesda.
-
I believe I can get beer and wine at the Shopper's in College Park, but that's the only one like that I've seen. Haven't figured out why they sell it and I've never seen it at any other grocery stores.
-
Again - Blame the piece-of-shit religious fuckers who try to control the availability of alcohol - and the tool politicians who follow along.
-
Another reason for you to come on over and move to Virginia. But only if you're a democrat.

actually, the control of alcoholic beverages in maryland is due to the cozy relationship between politicians and alcohol distributors. the various counties in maryland make a ton of money off of the exclusive contracts made between them and alcohol distributors that limit where, when and how you can purchase alcohol, not to mention limiting the variety of labels and producers. while these rules may have originally served the purpose of religious authorities, so-called blue laws, those purposes have long since been thrown out the window in favor of donations to campaigns and easy money into government coffers.
virginia, except for their control over the sale of hard alcohol, has been one of the front-runners in getting rid of this relationship with distributors, primarily to allow the direct sale of virginia wine to customers outside of virginia without having to go through a distributor.

You can get beer at one of the Royal Farm stores in Hampden in the city and a couple of 7-11s in Baltimore County.

There are a handful of exceptions. Snyders in Silver Spring carries beer and wine. There's also a tiny grocery store in the Four Corners shopping plaza that sells it.

I think we need a modern-day William Tecumseh Sherman to march through all the red states.
-
I'm 99% sure this is the case at the Shoppers in Germantown as well.
