Reportedly, this has been moved to the "Black Box."
Perhaps Senor Hoya could offer some specifics about that site.

the Black Box is in the Davis Performing Arts Center, which wasn't around way back when I was on the main campus.

I don't think that is right. Per this FAQ (http://performingarts.georgetown.edu/DAVIS/CENTER/faq.html), it sounds like the Black Box pre-dates the Davis Center and, since it's called the "Walsh" Black Box, I'm thinking it's over by the Car Barn.

interesting ... the black box was always over there in Walsh (the building across from wisey's on 36th), i guess i assumed they consolidated everything into the new theater place when it opened
have i mentioned how much i wish the law school was on the main campus? the beautiful vistas of 395 over here aren't really doing it for me

The Black Box is still in Walsh, on 36th St. between N and Prospect. When you enter the building, it's down the small set of stairs immediately to the right. It's very tiny; I can't imagine more than 200 people or so fitting there, although in fairness, I'm a terrible judge of those things. As far as the BYOB issue, I'm not sure what the policy will be about carry-ins, but there is certainly nowhere there to buy alcohol.

I want to go to this, but haven't paid any attention.
How do I get tickets, blah blah.
THANKS

What Rocks - Spring Music Festival: The Wrens & Sondre Lerche
Yes, thatâ??s right. In case Georgetown Day & champagne on the lawn isnâ??t enough: with the help of GPB, WGTB is holding itâ??s first ever What Rocks: Spring Music Festival â?? a full weekend of music on the hilltop. We will be graced with the presence of the indie-rock veterans, The Wrens, as well as the thoroughly charming (and Scandinavian) Sondre Lerche for two fantastic nights of music. Hereâ??s the line-up for the weekend:
Fri., 4/27: Georgetown Day DJ Showcase â?? Copley Lawn
Sat., 4/28: The Wrens w/ Murder Mystery
Sun., 4/29: Sondre Lerche
Both The Wrens and Sondre Lerche will be performing at Black Box, 7:30 Doors.
The dual-ticket price is $15. If you only want to head to one show (poor decision), the cost of each is $10. Tickets will be sold in Red Square starting Thurs., April 19th.

Is this a standing venue?

Why would they book a show at a venue that is no longer standing?

Man, that one was almost as lame as some of mine.
Is this a venue with seats?

rhett sees the 2-for-1.5 deal and swoops in, you'll find him selling tickets for 9 dollars outside wisey's on friday and saturday nights
-
Nah, I just thought a seated early show for only $10 by Sondre Lerche might be something my wife would enjoy. I don't really know anything by the Wrens, so would pass on that one.
Good idea though. Maybe someone will sell me tickets at $9 a pop instead of $10?

They're being sold at Red Square, which is a place on Georgetown's campus where a lot of student groups promote activities. If you find a map of the campus, look for the Bunn Intercultural Center (ICC), and Red Square is the giant area outside in front of it.
