Oh man, is that this weekend? I completely forgot to keep up on this one. Maybe my mom will want to go for her birthday?

Or you could take her to see Lila Downs and Chuck Brown for free at the Kennedy Center.

I'll be there. (The Paul Weller show, that is.)
-
Or you could take her to the festival at Snailhook's house. :)

Will be there. Very much looking forward to this show.

how is the new album by the way? I saw it on emusic...

It gets better and better with repeated listens. That being said, there are 4 or 5 songs which are pretty terrible. Still a great record though.

great show last night. i think better than the 2002 (i think that's last time he was here).
for the first time in a long time, i wasn't even near the average age of the crowd! :D
-
definitely agree, weller was much looser and actually having fun this out...

Yes he has a superb band these days, and among other numerous great songs, the encores of "Town Called Malice" and "All You Need is Love" (!?!) really capped off the night joyously.
If you still need a bigger Jam fix, the 'From the Jam' group are playing the State in a couple weeks. I saw them earlier this year at the B'mere and they sound, and were, excellent. Yeah the lead guy is a Weller acolyte and sound-alike, but if you want to dance around to Jam tunes played by 2/3 of the original band, you should check them out.

The new drummer is very good, but i certainly did miss having Steve White there
