it's awesome to see the board finally running on up-to-date UBB software. Nice work!
if you want to maintain the gothic/halloween feel of the board, you can use the style sheets functionality to make the background of the text box dark, so you don't have that glaring white square on every page.
Now maybe the search function can be enabled? :D

thanks for the suggestion, but think the forum will remain configured as it was for awhile, including leaving the search function off...
-
:(
-
the plan is to see if the update will stabilizer the operation of the forum...

Nice work Kosmo - the ignore feature is working again! See you later [edited, but you know who you are]...
So the new features aren't going to work for users that don't fix the cookies issues from the old software that makes it look like you are logged out.
There is a more extensive way to do it that I posted here (http://www.930.com/cgi-bin/ubb-cgi/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=1;t=017567), but there is also an easier way.
In IE 7:
Tools-->Internet Options
Under the heading, Browsing History-->Settings
Click View Files
Arrange the files by last accessed with the most recent being at the top. Find the "Cookie" for the 9:30 Club (should be a text file that says "cookie:vansmack@www.930.com" where vansmack is your computer login.
Delete that file.
Refresh the 930 board web site as log in again.
You will now have access to the new features.

Faster to reply while...where you know where you are during the week. Thanks Kosmo!

Wow! Nice job, Kosmo.
-
coolio.

Does the update look funny to any of you? The text seems scrunched, like a widescreen playing in 4:3.
-
If anything, the text looks larger to me. It might using a different font family....

while looking at the setting for how the forum is displayed, it appears that it was original setup with a 800x600 resolution in mind. looks like tmore control over how the forum is displayed is now available, which is something worth looking into doing some tweaking at a late date.

i too have noticed that the font is slightly larger on the topic pages.... here again some tweaking might be worthwhile investigating to make the font consistent through the forum.

I think the text may be the same font/size, but some is bold while others not.

ice cream sandwiches are good for your piece of mind. black on the outside/white in the middle.

Much better! Thanks.

There are built in style sheets that come with UBB... I think they're called themes or somesuch... in my experience you get results taking one of the standard ones and modifying it to your preferences rather than doing it all from scratch...
