I'm going down to Booze Buster and pick up a six-pack of Bud, then stop for a pizza, come home and get ready for this eye-opening program on BBC2 tonight.

From the article:
"Hosted from London, the programme boasts a panel of quality thinkers, movers and shakers - a seldom-convened brains trust of world views on America pre-eminence. "
If that's the case, why don't they tell us who any of them are? It's going to be a bloodbath, and all about G.W., the f@&#er.

I got 8. I didn't know about the hamburger or the latest revisionist theory on the Siberians.
-
I only got five, I should obviously go home....
in addition to those two, I got population, internet usage and the dollar question wrong......
-
9 out of 10. The only one I missed was the dollar question, which seems to have more to do with Germany than America, but that's just me.
-
I got six, missing pretty much the same questions most missed (because they're a bit of bullshit). The revised discovery of America, populations and internet usage and the dollar crap. Don't think I'm a bad American for not knowing all that, but damn, still stung a little....
-
PS, I only got hamburger because when they mentioned adding bread to the meat to stretch it, I thought, "Dude, that's not hamburger, that's meatloaf!"
-
8/10
Got the hamburger one wrong and the "who discovered the place" wrong.
Not bad for an ignorant wetback eh?
-
mankie is smarter than me.....
please kill me.

For those that don't know "Pommie" is what Australians call the British. It comes from POHM, which means "Prisoner Of Her Majesty". When we shipped out all the rapists, theives and vagabonds to Australia, some escaped by jumping overboard and settled in America, but the ones that ended up there called us POHM's because they said they were the free ones while we were the real prisoners of the monarchy. In reality, Australia is nothing more than Britains largest open prison.

Well all the nice boys love a sailor....
thats why I learnt the sailor dance shimmy.
-
So that makes us your largest church retreat?

A pommy, eh? Well, they may call you that down under, but I think Limey is the slur of choice on this continent....
Do you know where pommy comes from? My Ozzie friends said it's short for Prisoner of Her Majesty..... Actually, since it's about prisoners, isn't it more appropriate for Ozzies??
:p
-
Oops, inevitably Mankie gave a better explanation than I while I was typing. Damn you're a fast limey/pommy!

I already answered the pommie thing...do you know were "limey" comes from? Again, for those who don't....Limey comes from the Royal Navy many year ago. Scurvy was a terrible skin condition that sailors got on a regular basis. The Royal Navy made their sailors eat a lime every day to fight off the scurvy. So Navy's of other countries would call the Brits "Limeys"
-
Ozzie means Australian, but Ozzy is is a Brummie, which is English....
This is all so confusing....
-
Back to the quiz, I got all the number ones wrong except the date and the average income questions. I did, however, get the hamburger question right. I knew it was German but that's about all I knew about it. Got the 'who founded America' right too.
-
only got 5, I have always hated studying American history

I was being sarcastic! I should have went for cheeseburgers and not the pizza.
The show was as expected. Of the countries taking part in the polls, Jordan hates America the most, with France and Brazil not too far behind. Canada had some opinions but I didn't take any notice of them. Fifty six percent of the people in the UK have a favorable opinion of the US, except for Manchester, where 98% of the people have no opinions at all.
