Title: The Siren Music Festival
Post by: Bags on June 29, 2004, 05:30:00 pm
The lineup is great, but this photo scares the bejesus out of me, especially if it's NY Summer hot and humid.

 Sorry, photo wouldn't post -- here's link (http://www.villagevoice.com/siren/2004/event.html)

the main stage, is UGH.  last year, we really couldnt get all that close and the people near the back just talk and talk and talk. very annoying.  However, the 2nd stage was heaven and we made a break in between Radio 4 and Idlewild and got 2 people back for Idlewild's 2nd stage headlining set.
wasnt too hot and the beer is CHEAP! ($2.20 for a 22 of Corona!)

the band times and stages are on the site too.

Isn't it at least half an hour from the city to go all the way out to the end of the one subway line w/ Coney Island as the end desitnation?

I would say the train ride was at least 30 mins. It felt like there were a million stops...

Anyway, who else is going to the Fest? If you go, you have to ride the rollercoaster. And check out The Ponys.
