As a kid, my family and I once found ourselves in Ottawa on July 1, having no idea it was canada day. We went to the square to see the changing of the guard, and got Canadian flags to wave, which we did gleefully. It's times like these I almost wish I could up there and do that now.

Happy Canada Day to all you canucks...just remember:

You will always be cooler than doodles
You play better and manlier sports that doodles
You are much friendlier than doodles
And you can piss doodles off by sending your cold fronts down to them.

 YEAH FOR CANADA!.....eh  ;)

Bodacious ta-tas.  But not historical.  Does anyone really think those synthetic mammaries will be remembered 100 years from now?

Who is the Canadian Poe, for example?

At best, Atwood is a Jeopardy question.  Who are those others, eh?   Never heard of 'em.   "Time Zone Inventor"???   You're really scraping bottom, aren't you?

BTW, Poe died of rabies.  And yes, they have heard of him in China.  I'm quite sure you can shout Reginald Fessenden's name from the tallest tower until you pass out and you'll get only strange looks.

I'm afraid he's just another Jeopardy question 30 years from now.  The KEY word, I believe, is historical.

That's because you went to doodle schools and they don't teach shit in history about anything other than doodle history, which should take a good 30-45 minutes to learn!

Poe died of rabies did he?...were did you learn that? I read a book about his life and they still aren't sure what the actual cause of his death was...the cause that keeps cropping up is he was drugged because it was at the time of an election, and they used to drug drunks and vagrants then take them to the polls because that's what they did back then instead of just fudging the numbers like they do these days, but the drugs effd him up big time which is why he was found on the streets of B'more delirious
 and later died.

That's because only the 60 miles closest to the US border is even worth a damn, but since 3 attempts to the get the States back failed, they figured, why bother for a 60 mile wide stretch that will always be the bastard step child to the north?  Hell, I'd have let you have it too and I don't even own property yet...
