Maybe your daughter should support bands who aren't such dickhead rock stars as to not allow fans to take pictures of them live, just a thought.
-
Kids these days.... Don't they realize being an indie hipster is where it's at?

Really? Name me your 5 or 10 of your favorite acts that have played at 9:30 and I would be willing to bet that at least one of them did NOT allow photography the last time they played here.
I think it's cool that a father is willing to bring his daughter to ANY concert and then be cool enough to try and do something else to support their love for music.

Hank Williams III, Southern Culture on the Skids, Polyphonic Spree, Sonic Youth and Ween all allowed video to be shot. I know The Cult at least allowed disposables and I don't think I've ever seen a sign where it didn't say no photography whatsoever though as far as I'm concerned fuck the bands that won't allow photography for having such a bug up their ass that they won't allow their fans to have a personal memento of the show besides their overpriced merch. I agree that it's cool to have a parent take their kid to a show but that has nothing to do with my original point.

The Nachos of Ulysses rule!
There are shows with no cameras or flash photography. Those kids are nice guys, don't diss them too harshly.

You know, I usually believe in making fun of Good Charlotte as much as the next person, but I was hoping this post wouldn't get the usual indie-snob snarking, because the original poster's intention was actually kind of sweet, first that he took his daughter to a show, and second that he was looking for a photo for her. How many parents would show their kids that much support? And he probably didn't anticipate that reaction on a music board at all.
