Title: I'm getting my hair cut today
Post by: Charlie Nakatestes, Japanese Golfer on September 29, 2005, 02:42:00 pm
Should I go with the same style, or try something different?

Or, how much should I tip? I usually tip the stylist $5 and the shampoo person $1.

Wow, I only tip 3 bucks, but then again, I don't have as much to cut off as I did ten years ago.

Some wives actually require their husbands to still TRY to look good.

I cut my hair back in college, and it wasn't a pretty sight. Only hairstyle I can pull off cutting is if I'm shaving it all off.

I'm always confused about what I should tip for anal bleaching.  Any suggestions?

I'm not letting this thread die just yet.

Well I went and got my haircut last night. And it looked amazing. I love that one day out of ten weeks where I have rock star hair. Today, it's back to reality...I'm back to my Owen Wilson with a better color style. My wife said it was the best job my stylist has done since I started going to her. It always looks best right after getting it cut. Really, I should get it cut in the morning, so I can reap the fruits of the labor all day long instead of just for a few hours before bedtime. 69 days until my next haircut.

Price of a haircut has gone up from $25 to $30. But my tips have remained the same, $5/$1.

And for the record, my stylist would choose soda over milk to go with cake, though she normally drinks neither. Weirdo.

One guy that cut my hair wouldn't stop talking about how Mariah Carey's problems were bigger then our own.  Then he proceeded to tell me about his girlfriend.  It didn't add up.

That reminds me of what happened while I was paying...

This guy who apparently had an appointment today was begging (in person) for them to change it from 2 to 2:30, and they were telling him they couldn't do it, but they would double check the appointment book. They asked him who his appointment was with, and he said, "I don't know, They recommended him to me, the guy with tight jeans."

And the receptionist was like, "Oh, that would be Jean-Pierre."

And the guy was like, "Yeah, do you know if he's going to be wearing his tight jeans?"

And the receptionist was like, "Yes, and I'm sure he'll shake it for you."

a nice enuf gay guy cut my hair at a shop around dupont once and was just about to trim the crap out of my copious andy rooney irish eyebrows before i stopped him. just b/c he wants to have that chemo fashion model plucked gay look doesnt mean i do. he referred to my eyebrows as the "mad-scientist look".
 amusing.

But yet you want to shave your privates like a gay guy. Go figure.

HOLY SMOKE, 30 bucks????? Did you complain that the prices were too high, or were you happy that their was no convenience fee?

So you'll gladly trim your pubes but not trim your eyebrows?

I'm willing to wager most women prefer the metrosexual groomed eyebrow look over the caveman look. So think of how many more women you could attract with those eyebrows trimmed.

And I'm also willing to wager that many, many more women see your eyebrows than your pubes.

If you want a decent haircut, you shell out the bucks.  25-30 bucks is pretty normal, unless you go to a barber and get the "executive", the "junior executive", or the "duck ass."

i dont want a chick who's into a metrosexual - which is just one hair care product away from being a homosexual in my book which is fine but come-out already geez. usually one ditz of a chick who isnt worth the trouble.

Judging by the pictures of your "ex," I would say you should take whatever help you can get in attracting women.

Two things I won't skimp on: haircuts and eyeglasses. You can change your clothes, but you got those things on you at all times. Get them right, and you're halfway to hip. Get them wrong, and ggw posts your bad haircut pic all over the internet.

Good point, I guess I need to remember that I don't get the haircuts I got ten years ago, mine are pretty basic now. Walk in, sit in the chair, ten mintues later I'm paying.   :p

Jean-Pierre doesn't do my hair, but he probably should talk to those Gallagher boys, no?
