Title: Lurkers And Newbies
Post by: Jaguär on January 10, 2003, 11:46:00 pm: Just curious about something. I noticed this week that we have lots and lots of newbies and junior members on the board this week who do not appear to be alters. I'm assuming that they are both newbies and lurkers who have finally taken a deep breath and decided to post. What is it that finally enabled you all to post? Was it desperation for the Sigur Ros password or Markie's abscence that brought you out?

I guess it's not we who have the problem, it's all of you who are obsessed with posting a reply to everything. I love to read the posts and just laugh, I don't feel the need to post a reply to every message. If I have something to say I will say it, like here, I'm standing up for Newbie's (which I'm not, I've been around, why don't they categorize me as Lurker?). :D

The geek inside me wants to turn the "who is online" feature just to get some idea how many visitors besides the regulars are on at any given time. it would interesting to findout of the 9000+ people registered how many actually come back more than once.

outta of curiousity what brings the lurkers back to the board on a regular basis... hopefully it's not just to watch us unlurkers insult each other.

Everytime I see a non regular post, I make a point of seein when they registered. Nice to know you are out there...

Do I need to do a Lurkers rollcall :)
