According to http://www.lizphair.com/ (http://www.lizphair.com/) Liz Phair will be appearing at the 9:30 club on Saturday August 16, 2003. I'm not sure when the tickets go on sale. Maybe this Thursday??

I watched her on Leno tonight. The song is horrible and its surreal to see her standing there in her flirty mini-dress and high heels. But this leads me to questions regarding the prospects of her new career path. She's going Adult Contemporary now, right? Will she make it to the big time like Sheryl Crow? Is she getting played on HFS or DC101 or has she crossed over to some other radio formats?

At least she's not going the Jewel route and making some Shakira-esque R&B album.

I saw her on Leno, too...just AWFUL!!!
I don't think the outfits in and of themselves are bad, it's that the music just sucks so badly...
I heard Jewel do her thing on some late night show or something, too, and agree that was horrible, though she never was much anyway...

I think critics are really enjoying tearing into her. Liz Phair = the new Tricky

The Post gave her a decent review today.
I actually think it's rebellious of her to give the whole indie rock esprablishment the middle finger...way to go Liz.
Unfortunately, she now completely sucks. But you could tell she was heading in that direction with albums #2 and 3. Caught her on Leno after getting home from Slobberbone, and it was a wasted 4 minutes.
I'm not sure what was so distasteful about her outfit? Sure, she had way too much makeup on, but...

did i miss something? whats wrong with Tricky? and is he like Liz Phair in anyway.
I like the album cover though. I plan to listen to the CD one day, once i forget the 1242436 bad reviews I've heard.

Tricky is much beloved by critics, in that they love it when he releases albums so that they can trash him merceslessly.

I like Tricky. Damn critics don't really know anything anyway. I have seen the Kings Of Leon album get 5 stars!

even popmatters panned it, and they are generally pretty generous in their reviews. where's brad wood when you need him.

not a liz phair fan but she's got sondre lercher as an opener and i've been wanting to check him out. though not enough to see liz phair.
