Considering how many bike fans there are on the forum, I'm sure someone knows this: What channels will be covering the finish live on Sunday and what time? It might be a perfect occasion for cocktails and fun!
-
I get OLN and have watched stages there...not sure if the last will be televised elsewhere.
-
www.olntv.com (http://www.olntv.com) gives the scheduled times for the race they are showing.
-
What if he loses?
-
what if you never posted here again?
-
Sunday 2pm CBS
More significantly, at 12pm CBS has the German Grand Prix. Will Maclaren beat Renault?

Then we can look forward to a lot of posts from O'Wankie.

OLN has exclusive coverage. If you don't get that you can watch it at City Bikes (http://citybikes.com/site/page.cfm?PageID=163).
-
Sure it would. Aren't we a bit sick of this one balled leg shaving dude who left his wife for a lameass rocker and inspired the ugly bracelet trend sweeping the nation?

Americans everywhere would forget that cycling exists as a competitive sport

Well I do hate Sheryl Crow and the bracelets... but still, the whole "cancer" thing makes me feel sorry for him.

Still not as sick as we are of you.

The coverage in Europe is very different, they actually have cameras on, and talk about riders other than Mr. Armstrong. It's really quite unique.

Why would that be? I admire Lance Armstrong. I just get sick of the fact you doodles have absolutely no interest in anything whatsoever unless doodles are the centre of attention, being the self-centred bunch of twats that you are.
-
You are so right, but twats like us and wankers like you go together like...ummm...Keith Richards and martinis.
SOME of us paid attention to competitive biking for a while, but it was tiresome trying to keep up with a sport which - until Lance - got NO media coverage on TV or print. Don't hate the playa, hate the game.

I was talking as much about the doodle media as I was the doodles themselves. Ask any foriegner living in the US what they think of the Olympics coverage.

Whatever.....that's like faulting the brits for not giving a shit about baseball and football. Get over yourself.

For the past two weeks every time I happenned to surf channels to check out OLN's Tour De France coverage I got a close-up, behind shot of some dude's heinie in neon colored bike shorts pumping away like hell. Just the rear-end view, mind you. Did anyone else, but moi, notice OLN's obsession with ass? I don't know about youse guys, but as soon as I get a shot of that electric-yellow spandex man-rump in action I immediately switch channels.
-
Are you sure that you weren't watching the Bravo channel?

whoa whoa whoa.... do you mean those yellow bracelets that everyone is wearing? i thought those were for supporting our the US troops.
i have been very disturbed by these bracelets and no one that i have asked (only people NOT wearing them) has been able to tell me what they are for.
they're for Lance Armstrong?????? thats pretty funny, or not.

perhaps you should read your posts aloud before sending them, that would probably eliminate phrases like this one from coming out.

you tryin to piss me off? the olympics here make me CRAZY!!!!! arghhhhh.
but here's my theory:
the olympics here are all about the US athletes, right? well, in Canada, they talk about the Canadian athletes as much as possible, but they cant possibly talk about all 3 Canadian medal hopefuls for 2 weeks straight, so they are forced to cover other countries' athletes.
same with England.
now, the Winter Olympics is a different story in Canada, its ALL damn Canadian athletes, all damn day, all damn night.

Hmmm, good advice for many...cue the crickets. Just what were you objecting to? If the thought police have shown up, we're all f*c*ed.

You mean the other riders that are consistently five minutes behind.....yeah, that would be pretty exciting to cover.

they're actually raising money for his cancer foundation. all proceeds from the bracelets go to cancer research.

I respectfully disagree......England have not won the world cup for 39 years.(That will be recitified in 2006 though!!! :D ) By far it is the biggest TV draw everytime the tournament is on. When was the last time a Brit won Wimbledon? Although the brit press love to follow old Tim Henman choke in every tournament, but that's a whole other topic. My point is, for the vast majority of the sport watching world it's about the sport, not the home-grown team/athlete. The Irish language channel had 100% coverage of the tour and I don't think there was one Irish rider in it this year, and if there was I doubt they spoke the native tounge, although I'm sure some board google wizard will correct me if I'm wrong....
So, who do you think will fill Lance's saddle for the Discovery team? Basso seems to be the hottest rumour, although I would like Big George Hincapi personally, he's my favourite rider since Tyler Hamilton shamed himself.

What part of his body did he shave?

It might as well be his ass, as much as they like to zoom in on them on OLN.

What the hell else are they going to show? Repeats of the hurling tournament?
-
Non-stop Lucky Charms commercials.

Are you sure you haven't seen them on the three channels you get over there? Isn't one of the channels the non stop history of cheese channel? Or was that just on European Vacation?

Telly over here is far superior to the crap over there.....well, it is if you prefer the thinking persons kind of channel, which I happen to do. (Discovery/History/Biography etc.) Plus, we get to see full frontal nudity after 10pm. without having to pay-per-view!!! :D
-
Ain't that the truth. I remember cracking up in Madrid, because between uncensored, hardcore sex scenes on the television, they would advertise phone sex lines. Why pay when you're getting the good stuff for free anyway?

Not the same Jag....they may be doodle owned but not the same programming. Well, they do have the redneck motorcycle building shite, and the myth-busters, who were entertaining for about three episodes actually. I like the "How's it made" show which shows how just about anything is made, from crisps/chips, Jugernaut trucks to contact lenses. I also like the Time Team which is a team of archeologists who travel the UK doing digs on all kinds of places, of which there is no shortage of sites over here....I was just thinking how could they do that in doodleville, all they'd ever find is discarded bud cans and McDonalds containers.
