Hey guys I just wanted to let you all know about a Band from Pittsburgh called the Clarks. They will be playing at Nightclub 9:30 on Feb.8th. They are definately a band to check out!!! No idea who they are. Just went to their site and listened to their music, very poppy, nothing special, kind of Jayhawks but bad. Very poppy. I won't be there.

yeah, funny it turned up now as I had a listen last night. A bit too DMB for my liking. Then a lot of people seem to like that.

ive heard of them. to stay neutral on this topic and not hurt anyone's feelings - good for them. just because they aren't britpop doesn't mean we have to hate them (we being everyone on this board). so, yeah.

I did check them out...I think I was wearing flannel at the time too...Pearl Jam was big and the year was 1994. Far from a new band...

these guys have been around forever and are TIRED. having gone to school in the 'burgh, i can tell you that some people are fookin' madferit in that town. they're mad for DONNY IRIS too so that pretty much says it all.

a little odd that a thread titled 'a "new" band to check out' is an old band. the clarks have been around pittsburgh almost as long as that old Clark bar sign.

Here's a hint...read the date the original post was made. It wasn't this year. Dr. Doom went around resurrecting ancient threads a few days ago.
