Title: Conor Oberst
Post by: root on October 08, 2008, 01:02:00 pm
really surprised the show is not sold out yet, Bright Eyes shows go quick and honestly this solo album IMO is better then Cassadega in many ways.

There's also something going on that looked appealing to me in Baltimore that night too but I forget what it is.

His solo album is A LOT better then Cassadaga, that's true.

I played his album for my wife without telling her who it was, and she thought it was total rubbish. Can't say I disagree. I guess I don't like every alt-country record that comes along after all.

saw the show in austin two weeks ago at an ACL aftershow..M. Ward and Jenny Lewis were also on the bill. Conor's band was pretty tight, played the whole album and a Paul Simon cover. Very enjoyable, cape canaveral was awesome...however, the encore was just him, m ward and two acoustic guitars, incredible. Gillian Welch showed up too... id pay to see it again, but Jenny and M. Ward's sets were better.
