Very BRMC/J&M Chain....probably fun to see.  Have you listened to the whole album?

I love them. Guiding Light on the new album is a terrific song. Unfortunately, they are playing Baltimore the same night as The Black Keys. But! They are also playing CMJ, so hopefully I will get to see them in NYC.

yes.  The album is less boring than BRMC. (if you think thier cd drags a little.) a fuzzier, more distorted sound and more heavier songs.

Icelandic band!

They are also playing Iceland Airwaves at the end of October....with a crapload of other bands.  I was going to go to that until I booked my trip to New Zealand.

They've played the Velvet Lounge a couple of times...I think earlier this year, actually.

Thanks for posting this link.  I've got S.S.'s first album but hadn't heard the new material.  So far I like the song "Guiding Light" the best.  :)

 Cheers

 DJ Medusa.

Does anyone know if the show this Wednesday at the Mojo Lounge in Baltimore has been cancelled?  It's not listed on their website but it's still on SS's record company website.

Okay, got the official word for you.

"....They are MOST DEFINITELY playing! Our webmaster is having problems with the server our site is on, hence the lack of update.

The other bands are Lion Fever, The Mayan Factor and So I Had To....

Doors at 8p and the first band will go on around 915p....
"

 Hope this helps.

Should we start a roll call?

So did anyone make it to this show?  Unfortunately, the fact that it was in Baltimore on a school night with three opening bands proved too daunting an endeavor for me to make the trek.

You could always make a trip to the homeland to see them:

 Sat 10/09 - Montreal - Le Swimming
 Sun 10/10 - Ottawa - Dominion Tavern
 Mon 10/11 - Toronto - Silver Dollar

I lived in Ottawa and Toronto for 10 years each and have NO idea where these venues are. They must be playing someone's backyard BBQ.... :=)

Tell me about it!!!

I too wanted to go so badly but realized that Singapore Sling probably wouldn't go on until 1:00AM or so, which is way too damn late for a work night! It's totally absurd that I can drive all the way down to DC, see a show, drive home and be home before I'd be home, or even leave for home for most Baltimore shows. Except for The Velvet Lounge, of course. No wonder Baltimore shows often don't do too well! Although Fletcher's and The Recher sometimes aren't so bad with that.
