Title: the national at the black cat
Post by: igotmoxie on October 24, 2006, 07:08:00 pm
what are the chances this show will sell out?
i have no way to gauge this- i saw them at pitchfork and was unimpressed. i have a friend in town from kansas city and she wants to go.
do the kids like them? I am for once completely stumped.

They played Black Cat earlier in the year, I think. If you could find out if that show sold out, it would be a good indication.

(Sorry, that wasn't much help. I wouldn't say they're hugely popular--"popular" in terms of the type of artists Black Cat hosts--so my guess would be it won't sell out, especially considering it's already so close.)

I don't think the show earlier this year sold out.  They're worth seeing for a couple of their more energetic songs, but they can drag with some slower stuff and some of the lyrics are brain-hurtingly dumb.

Nethers are opening, should be a good time.
